Students of NFE Dept. of DIU visited BCSIR for study tour
A MoU was signed between the two Institutions BCSIR and DIU on 17th February, 2013 to make preliminary arrangement for an exchange programme among teachers, scientists, students to integrate scientific research and development. On behalf of BCSIR Prof. Dr. A. I. Mustafa Chairman, BCSIR and from Daffodil International University, honorable Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. M. Lutfar Rahaman signed the MoU agreement to exchange the development of Science & Technological activities.
Based on this agreement about 20 students of fourth batch from the department of NFE, DIU, visited to the Institute of Food Science and Technology, BCSIR on 28th March,2013 and practically got demonstrations from five important Labs such as (a) Food Toxicology lab, (b) Food Microbiology Lab, (c) Industrial Microbiology Lab, (d) Food Packaging and research Lab. The NFE student team was guided by the Prof. Dr. K. M. Formuzul Haque and Mr. Taslimur Rashid, lecturer NFE. After visiting the lab, the honorable Chairman of BCSIR Prof. A.I Mustafa invited all the students and teachers in the Conference Hall of BCSIR for short discussion.
During this discussion other High Official of BCSIR, Dr. Tofazzal Hossain,(Member Science & Tech,), Mr. F.M.M. Jamaluddin Al Quadri, (Member Administration & Joint Secretary, Ministry of Science & ICT), Mr. Mr.Dilip Kumar Sharma, (Member Finance & Joint Secretary, Ministry of Science & ICT, Mr. Moinul Ahsan, Director, Institute of Food Science Technology, Mr. Abu Anis Zahangir, Director, Dhaka Lab, Mr. Shahidul Islam, Director, Pilot Plant and Process Development were also present in the meeting. The Chairman BCSIR Prof. AI Mustafa was very happy among the students and teachers of DIU and introduced the activities of BCSIR in very short.
He also appreciated the enthusiastical leadership of the BoT Chairman Mr. Sabur Khan for rapid development of this University and at the same time he mentioned the good name of honorable Vice Chancellor of DIU for his guidance and hard working regarding the academic sector of this University. At last, , honorable Chairman assured all the students of DIU that if they would like to work jointly with any R&D project with the scientists of BCSIR then they will get all sorts of cooperation from BCSIR.
At the end of the discussion Prof. Dr. Formuzul Haque thanks to honorble Chairman of BCSIR for giving this type of opportunity for the students of DIU.
