There are a few tips you can do at home to make you want to break out those flops and show off your soft, gorgeous feet! The good thing about these cracked heels is that they are easily avoidable. All you need to do is take good care of your feet and try these simple remedies to get rid of the problem once and for all.

Pumice Stone and Vaseline
Use plenty of warm, soapy water to soften the skin of your feet. Then wet the pumice stone and rub it along the areas where you have dry, cracked skin. This will help soothe the area. You can also try a specialized foot soak made of warm water, petroleum jelly and a moisturizing shampoo before you use the pumice stone. Follow up this twice-daily treatment with moisturizing lotion

Olive Oil Lemon Juice & Honey.
The first remedy can do wonders to your feet. It will make those dry heels soft and smooth, over night. Hard to believe? Try it yourself! You need some olive oil, lemon juice and a teaspoon of honey. Mix them well and apply it to the cracked heels. Keep your feet covered by wearing cotton socks. Wash your feet in the morning with lukewarm water. Exfoliate and moisturize.

Glycerin Rose Water & Lemon Juice
One of the most promising remedies require glycerin, rose water and lemon juice in equal quantities. Mix these three ingredients and keep the mixture in a bottle or a container. Every night, before going to bed, wash your feet, scrub them and apply this mixture to your feet. Wear clean cotton socks and wash your feet in the morning. Not only it will treat your cracked heels effectively but it will make your feet soft, smooth and fair. You can apply this mixture to your hands as well.

Aspirin
For deeply cracked, callused heels crush 5 aspirin, mix with 1/2 tsp. each lemon juice and water and spread on heels for 10 minutes. Scrub gently with a pumice stone. Do this every other day. Even the deepest cracked calluses will disappear within 10 days.

Natural Scrub:
To make the natural scrub take rice flour about 2 tablespoons, 1 tablespoon honey and 1 tablespoon of vinegar, mix them to form a paste and massage your feet with it. Rinse off and pat dry with a clean towel. After that you can apply a good cream, petroleum jelly or olive oil to moisturize your feet. Wear cotton socks. Now you are ready to go to bed.

Salt
Dip your feet in salty water, slightly warm. You can also add mustard powder to it, only about half a teaspoon. This will not only fix your cracked heels but would also relax your foot muscles. Afterwards dry your feet and apply petroleum jelly on the cracks.

Banana
Blend a few bananas in a blender to form a creamy paste. Wash your feet, then apply the paste for 15 minutes, then rinse it away. Wash your feet again, first with warm water and then with cool water. Do this every day to get smooth, silky skin.

Lemon
Add lemon juice to warm water, soak your feet, then use a stiff brush to remove the dead skin from your heels. You can also use a mixture of lemon juice and papaya, mashed into a paste and pressed into your cracked feet. Rinse your feet, then moisturize.

We are sure that one of the above mentioned remedies would work for you. It is also suggested to focus on your diet and make sure you are getting enough zinc, iron, vitamins and omega-3 fatty acids in your diet. Also drink plenty of water.
