Dear all!

I have participated a three days workshop on Applied Academic Research conducted mostly by Dr. Zia Haqq, Faculty of Monash University, Australia. He was fantastic in his lectures. Today was the last day. The aim of this workshop was to train the Bangladeshi university academics, researchers and students for conducting applied research and producing high quality research reports and journal papers. I hope it will help me to achieve research skills and publish in international journals for career progression.

Brief Outline of the Research Workshop

• Getting motivated for conducting research
  Setting goals, research question or state the problem
  Reviewing Literature and forming testable hypotheses
  Which way to go: Qualitative or quantitative research? or Both?
  Research design and information/data sourcing and collection
  Application of statistical tools and techniques
  Data processing by applying E-Views program
  Analysis of results or findings
  Professional presentation of the research report

Dear all,
 I have also participated in this 3 day's international workshop in Bangladesh that is organized by World Business Institute, Melbourne, Australia.Instructor was dr. Ziaul Haq, Lecturer, Monhash University, Australia.The aim of this workshop was how can we conduct research scientifically.From this I have got the chance to know about  a new statistical software that is EViews. Truly his lectuer was resourceful  increadible and helpful to remove my researchfobia. I am  motivated to conduct research sothat it is published nationaly and internationaly. "Research means search again and again" -by dr. Zia.

we have learn about E-Views in that workshop. It is a statistical package for Windows, used mainly for time-series oriented econometric analysis. It can be used for general statistical analysis and econometric analyses, such as cross-section and panel data analysis and time series estimation and forecasting.

EViews combines spreadsheet and relational database technology with the traditional tasks found in statistical software, and uses a Windows GUI. This is combined with a programming language which displays limited object orientation.
