Mr. Md. Shakhawat Hossain (Sohel), a Professional Golfer of PGTI, Asian Tour and Bangladesh Golf Federation will act as a Brand Representative of Daffodil International University for the coming five years. This was declared today in a reception program accorded to him for being champion in NewAge Group Challenge Cup Golf Tournament-2014.
Mr. Md. Sabur Khan, Chairman, Board of Trustees, Daffodil International University was present in the reception program as chief guest. Presided over by Prof. Dr. M. Lutfar Rahman, Vice Chancellor of the university, the program was attended by Prof. Dr. S. M. Mahbub Ul Haque Majumder, Dean, Faculty of Science and Information Technology, Prof. Dr. M. Golam Rahman, Dean, Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, Prof. Dr. Zakir Hossain, Dean, Faculty of Business and Economics, Mr. Mominul Haque Majumder, Director (Finance and Accounts), Mr. Muhammed Emran Hossain, Director (Administration),Mr. Syed Mizanur Rahman, Director (Student Affairs), Mr. Manjurul Islam Raju, Moderator, DIU Sports Club and Ms. Quamrun Nahar Ruma, Lecturer.
Addressing as the chief guest Mr. Md. Sabur Khan said, From the very beginning Daffodil International University is providing sponsorship to the players of national and international levels and always gives highest priority on sports for physical and mental growth of the students besides education, he added.
He also said, those days are not so far when Bangladesh will be familiar through out the globe through Golf as like as Cricket.Golfer Siddiqur Rahman has already proven it. He urged the Financial and Business Institution to come forward to patronize the upcoming sports man like Sohel.
Young Gulf Star thanked Daffodil International University and said, The position of Golf in Bangladesh has increased a lot through the Advancement of Siddqur\s Position in world Ranking. If all other institutions like Daffodil come forward to extend their helping hands to sponsor Golfers Bangladesh will be able to raise its head in global society, he added.
Under this agreement, Shawkat Hossain Sohel will act as Brand Representative of Daffodil International University in different programs and media. He will use the brand logo of Daffodil International University in all his sports materials for promotion. He will also train up and motivate the students and teachers regarding Golf, games and sports and Physical exercise.
