Registration Fall 2011 semester.

Dear students,

Your final examination is over and after Eid vacation the time of Registration. Here I want to inform you all an important information which you most of the time ignore and in the next semester you face a big problem regarding dues. The rules of Registration is:
Students must pay the required fees at the time of 1st installment ( Registration fee) in schedule time. After the said date you are to pay with an amount of late fee of taka 500/- in addition with Registration fee.
Students can OFFICIALLY add/drop courses or they can drop the entire semester. Most of the time the students do  not follow the proper way to drop semester. They don’t continue the classes or exams without notifying the Department and Registrar Office. According to the DIU rules if any student does not drop the semester officially following the proper way then she/he has to clear all the dues upto Final exam and doesn’t matter whether he/she attain classes/exam or not.As a result when a student comes to do registration in the next semester s/he comes to know of a huge dues which could be minimize if followed the official process of Semester drop.So here I am trying to let you know the way.

The official process to drop semester is :

Students have to write an application to the Head of the department within the schedule time ( usually next 15 days after registration) then the coordination Officer drop the semester after getting the permission from Head of the Dpt.In that case paid registration fees will be shifted to the next semester. If any one has to drop the semester after passing those 15 days ( upto Mid Term ) then the financial dues might be partially considered (Based on the intensity of situation ie Financial crisis/ physical sickness etc) and the application should be addressed to the Registrar Through The Head, Department of ########. In case of sickness proper medical documents should be enclosed. If the application found genuine with relevant papers then  the decision is taken by discussion with Dean and Director of Finance. But if it is too late ( after Mid term) then no dues is considered. So please try to follow the proper way.I hope that situation will not arise that lead you to drop the semester.Wishing you all a very happy eid with all of your family members and safe return to continue the coming semester with sound situation.
