Snack solutions when you're out and about
What do you feed your little one when you're running around town? Busy moms are sure to have a snack stashed away in their purse or diaper bag. If your baby is just starting solids, you might get by with a pouch of pureed fruits or veggies, or filling a thermos with a few cubes of frozen purees. Once you're into finger foods and beyond, your toddler has probably turned into a snack maniac – and no mom wants to risk a hunger-induced meltdown.

Here are six classic scenarios, from the daily routine of car and daycare to special situations like airplanes and parties. Find out what you can do to prepare for them, and get great ideas for snacks, as well as tips, tricks, and tools that help.

What you're packing totally depends on your child's age. Check our age-by-age feeding guide and list of unsafe foods to make sure what you're feeding your child is safe and age-appropriate.
