Is Spring '11 the last semester?
« on: December 13, 2010, 01:39:07 AM »
This thing has made many very anxious...
Yesterday, our education minister Dr. Nurul Islam Nahid has made an declaration calling a press conference. He said that the 43 universities what have not been able to establish their own campuses during govt.'s ultimatum will not be given the liberty to publish enrollment related ads or to  make enrollment procedures from Fall '11...
We know that our DIU has contracted with the respective authorities for acquisition at Prince plaza campus and the main building campus but yet we don't own it or we haven't taken complete lease. And our ashulia campus's establishment process is gonna start from January.
So, we wanna know DIU authority's stand regarding this quite 'ground shattering' news.

Dear Faiyaz, don't be confused. From education ministry it has been declared that 8 university is in satisfactory position and they marked as green signal and other 12 university including Daffodil International University under observation that means those university has land for permanent campus and they got 5 years more to establish in this time frame. They also mentioned that some university including Daffodil International University has won campus but not sufficient space as requirement of UGC rules. That's why they marked as yellow signal. So, don't worry.

Dear all students, our university is already in safe position because we have a campus of our own and we have a land of large area for campus. all of us know that the construction of our permanent campus is going to start from January,2011. So don't worry.

As far I know that our authority is very sincere regarding our university from own interest. So we can rely on them without any hesitation. We have own campus but this is not adequate according to University Grants Commission (UGC) rules. I hope green, yellow, and red evaluation will stimulate to build adequate campus. We have land so I think it does not matter to fulfill UGC’s rules.
