Good Telephone Techniques
« on: June 25, 2009, 06:25:03 PM »
In order to communicate effectively and gain favorable attention from others, we all should know how to talk over phone. My suggestions are:

1. When calling, please please please introduce yourself, first of all, to avoid ambiguity and enigma.

2. And then ask for the person you want

3. Listen when the other person is talking

4. Cultivate a pleasant voice.

5. Be courteous

Finally we all should know what to say and what not to say and plan our conversation

Proper time for telephone calls....

1. Please don't call early in the morning because people whom you are calling to might be busy getting ready for office and doing other stuff.

2. Call the person you need one hour or half an hour later after the office hour starts. Because he or she needs sometime to do some tasks as soon as the office hour starts.

3. Please don't call during the lunch time unless it's emergency.

4. If you call at night, you have to be sure whether the receiver is OK with it.

5. Sometimes you can text a message and then call if the receiver is not picking up your call

6. Please always think about the time when you are calling and make sure the receiver is not busy.

One of the good telephone techniques is not to send SMS after 10 pm to a person with whom you don't have informal term(if it is not an urgent case).

There are people who send SMS to their classmates or colleagues at odd times and they make them embarrassed.

Before calling someone or sending someone SMS one shoudl think.

There are something else to know about phone using.

1. be careful when you give your SIM card or Phone to enter anyone other to use phone or SIM card... there are some option in phones to copy contacts from phone or SIM. This could be very dangerous if your  personal contacts goes to another

2. in modern cellphones, most of them are java operated... so keep a FIRST AID GUIDE in your phone ... it will help you vary much when you need ..

3. Don't buy any 2nd hand mobile phone without investigating the IMEI number and the owner who sells the phone.. If there is any crime done by this phone you will be in so much trouble

thank you all
