The National Final of Get in the Ring - a Global Startup Competition where promising start-ups of different public and private universities of Bangladesh fight to fly to Global Meet Up , was held on May 08, 2018 at 71 Milonayoton of Daffodil International University in the capital . Nusrat Jahan Rysa of Arced Foundation won the championship of National Final of Get in the Ring-2018, Bangladesh beating 11 other competitors.

Mr. Md. Mosharraf Hossain Bhuyan, Chairman, National Board of Revenue graced the occasion as the chief guest. Dr. Md. Sabur Khan, Chairman, Board of Trustees of Daffodil International Universitywas present as the National Host of Get In The Ring Dhaka 2018. The Judges Panel comprised with Mr. Md. Shafiqul Islam, Managing Director, SME Foundation, Ms. Tina Jabeen, Investment Advisor, Startup Bangladesh, ICT Division, Mr. Wali-ul-Maroof Matin, Founder & Managing Director, Maslin Capital, Mr. Quazi M. Ahmed, Lead Consultant & CEO of Future Leaders, Mr. Golam Monowar Kamal, Managing Director, Bangladesh Venture Capital Ltd.

The finalist teams are from Jahangirnagar University (JU), Khulna University of Engineering & Technology (KUET), Bangladesh University of Professionals (BUP), BRAC University (BRACU), North South University (NSU), United International University (UIU), Ahsanullah University of Science & Technology (AUST), University of Development Alternative (UODA), The Technical University of Applied Science, Germany and Daffodil International University (DIU).

Daffodil International University is the national host of this international competition known as the Olympic for start-ups. This is for the second time Get in the Ring competition organized by Daffodil International University. Earlier in 2015, Daffodil International University organized this competition for the first time in the country
Addressing as the chief guest NBR Chairman Mr. Md. Mosharrof Hossain Bhuyan said, Bangladesh is a country of immense opportunity and prospect. The young generation of this country is too much innovative. Get in the Ring competition will find out those meritorious guys which are discriminately stayed around the country. He also said that ‘Get in the Ring’ competition is a new concept in Bangladesh. In the mean time he thanked Daffodil International University for introducing this new concept in the country.
Chairman of National Board of Revenue Mr. Md. Mosharraf Hossen Bhuyan also said that half of our total population is young who can play a potential role in economic development of the country and they have already begun to contribute to change the economy of Bangladesh through different kinds of SME’s. They will make our country as developed country within a very short time, if they can get proper guideline and proper nursing. he added . He urged the young entrepreneurs to run their enterprise by following proper rules and regulations to attain success in their business quickly.
