Culture and Tourism Relation-A delimma of Expression.

Cultural tourism is one of the largest and fastest-growing global tourism markets especially for the upcoming tourism market with having diversified cultural groups like Bangladesh. Culture is increasingly being used to promote destinations and enhance their competitiveness and attractiveness like ethnic culture can attract a specific type of cultural tourists in Rangamati. Many locations are now actively developing their tangible and intangible cultural assets as a means of developing comparative advantages in an increasingly competitive tourism marketplace and to create local distinctiveness in the face of globalization.

Tourism and culture have growing relationship between them and this relationship works as a major drivers to attract tourists in a specific destination. For example if we thing about Rangamati then most of the tourist visiting Rangamati are somehow attracted by the ethnic culture of local people. Sometimes these also become a threat to the local culture. Because most of the local people have their own faith, not to expose their culture publicly. On the other hand it can be regarded as an expansion of their culture. Through tourism their culture is being known to the people of other countries as well. It’s a matter of question now. Is tourism being attracted for culture or culture being attracted for tourism???
