Regarding Improvement exam and its system
« on: December 26, 2010, 12:13:50 PM »
Assalamu Alaikum,

We all know that DIU has an official system(regarding form fill-up  and payment for the exam) through which the students who want to appear at the improvement exam are required to go through ,where we the faculties have no role to play. but the common misconception among the students is that if we wish we can help them to bypass this official system .they make a common query "Sir/Madam do i need to do anything for the exam?" then when they are told about the official system to follow then they make the request "Sir/ Madam , pls, consider", where we have nothing to consider.

Ultimately, it is an embarrassing situation between the teacher and students and sometimes disgusting too which can be easily solved  by removing the misconception among the student and informing them that this is an office rule where teachers have nothing to do and should not be requested thereby.

Besides the faculties, administration may extend its cooperation to overcome this embarrassing situation and making the process smooth for the well being of the institution and the students.

Thanking you,

Thank you Madam for sharing this grave matter with all. Administration's role is to coordinate between faculty and the students.

Yes, DIU has an official system (regarding form fill-up  and payment for the exam) for those who wish to sit for the improvement and (except some exceptions) it is a student's mandatory duty to fulfill all the regulations set by the authority.

Coordination officers of respective departments are fully aware of this regulation and the timetable of the improvements. Please guide a student to the Department office in such case.

Teachers can aware all students in his/her classes at the beginning of every semesters about the hurdles a students will have to face if they wish to sit for the improvement. Without some exception, we wish to make our students regular in study and exams.

Administration always coordinates between faculty members and students. The students who want to sit for the improvement/Incomplete examination must go through an official process and the department always ensures the process to be smooth for the students. Students who are willing to sit for the Mid-Term or Final Examination [Improvement /Incomplete] are asked to collect application form from BBA office and submit the same paying 20% for the Mid-Term and 40% for final examination of the course fees and there is no alternative in this case (except some exceptions). We always want cooperation of the faculty members in the Improvement /Incomplete examination.
