Women In Digital (WIDBD) is proud to present 1st ever ICT Hackathon for Women.
“ICT Hackathon for Women 2016” is an initiative of Women In Digital (WIDBD). This Hackathon is our one more way to express our dedication towards women who are in ICT world and to stimulate creativity and innovation amongst developers. With this Hackathon on sustainability, we want to ‘connect’ our passion for technology to an application that helps to bring positive impact into women in Bangladesh.
“ICT Hackathon for Women 2016” is an event for women/girls in which passionate ICT students/professionals will participate in a collaborative programming session. In this ICT Days; the 36-hour marathon will test the talent and creativity of the contestants in making, testing and validating their ideas/projects.
The event aims to challenge groups of women/girls with programming experience to make use of their teamwork abilities and comply with the objectives set, while also having fun.
Contestants will have to bring their best ideas from our given topics/categories.
Topics/Categories are below:
• Health & Well Being (example: medical care, sport, lifestyle, etc)
• Culture & Tourism (example: heritage, travel, subcultures, etc)
• Media & Entertainment (example: news & journalism, entertainment, Games, etc)
• Business & Commerce (example: innovative services, security, finance, marketing, etc)
• Learning & Education (example: knowledge, science, skills, etc)
• Agriculture & Environment (example: climate, sustainable resources, green energy, etc)
• Inclusion & Empowerment (example: diversity, gender, justice, human rights, accessibility, etc)
• Smart Settlements & Urbanization (example: mobility, productive work, sustainable living, etc)
The results of the work will be judged by a jury of experts. The first and second group of winners will receive differentiated prizes.
This is a 36 hour of Hackathon which is Taking place at Dhaka on this September 2016.
Open to all women from the ICT world and non ICT world.
