Drone also means idle person. Whenever drone's verb, it'll mean talk dully/buzz or murmur like a bee.

Dossier means file of documents on a subject.

Dormant means sleeping/lethargic/latent.

'dis' is the common affix in this word I see. The words are also familiar to me.

dissension : disagreement

dissipation : Disappearing

distort : twist or change anything
