Pedigree often means a person's family history or background especially when this is impressive. For example: She was proud of her long pedigree.
It also means to a knowledge or an official record of the animals from which an animal has been bred: dogs with good pedigrees.

Pediment is the part in the shape of a triangle above the entrance of a building in the ancient Greek style.

Peekaboo....well...My 11-month old daughter enjoys the game most. It's a simple game. I keep hiding my face and then showing it again, saying 'Peekaboo!!' and she gifts me a big smile!

Penchant is a special liking for something: She has a penchant for chocolate.

Penance..the word is used in particular religions. It is an act that you give yourselves to do, or that a priest gives you to do in order to show that you are sorry for something you have done wrong: to do penance for your sins.
It also means something that you have to do even though you don't like doing it: She regards living in Dhaka as a penance. She hates big cities.
