No relevant topic in open source forum
« on: April 19, 2011, 01:09:37 PM »
This forum is named as "open source forum"
and I got the following description in forum description
Quote
Open Source is now opening the eye of all programmers. Here DIU students with the help of Daffodil Software Ltd and Daffodil Web & e-Commerce can get involve in lot of new products’ development and make themselves as the world’s best outsourcing people and company too.
But I don't find any post related to the forum. Why so, don't our students know how to use a forum ??? But I see there is a forum named "Use of forum". Why then students don't ask there how to use it. I think a seminar should be arranged every time new students get admitted on the use of every thing they will experience in their everyday life in Daffodil family. And from there they should learn these things.

I hope proper steps will be taken.

Now come to the point. As stated it is the "open source forum".

I want to know something about this. What is open source ?
What it is for ??
As stated in the forum description students can get involved in lots of product developments with the help of Daffodil software Ltd, how they can ??
How it is related to the "Open source" ??

Answers wanted.

Thanks in advance

Not only forum but also every IT related quires must be known to newly admitted students. Yes but How? We can arrange a workshop regarding the followings

1. How to complete Teaching Evaluation
2. How to operate Learning & Feedback System
3. forum
4. E-mail Id
5. Use of Vartual University

If we successfully conduct that workshop then it will be very helpful for the new students. You know our department already conduct this type of workshop in last semester.

Contact your departmental Head to arrange such workshops
"Many thanks to Allah who gave us life after having given us death and (our) final return (on the Day of Qiyaamah (Judgement)) is to Him"

Right, Mr. Roman. It'll obviously help the newly admitted students to learn the Digital System of DIU.
