Textile Engineering is a preferred topic to many people of the current time and it has been noticed in recent times that a significant number of students are now interested in learning about this topic. There are many sectors in Textile Engineering. Merchandising is one of them. Some basic things about merchandising is below:

1. Merchandising is one of the most expected job to the textile engineers because of its good working environment.
2. Merchandising is a non technical job. Its not related to pure textile.
3. The most distinguished jobs in the factory are merchandiser's and their marketing is under their control.
4. A merchandiser follows up the total process from order execution to delivery.
5. Merchandising post starts from Trainee Merchandiser and ends by Merchandising GM.
6. Junior Merchandiser is the unwritten peon of the merchandising group. He has to do most of the works. However, those who can do this work, can get promotion quickly. There is no reason to be bothered by not working in your own hands.
7. Merchandising is a job based on buyer. If the good buyer's work, the quality quickly develops.
8. The best buyer whose demand is good on the market, like if you are H & M expert, the other factory will call you to see this buyer.
9. Posts: Merchandising Manager> Senior Merchandiser> Merchandiser> Assistant Merchandiser> Trainee Merchandiser.
10. Merchandisers of factories have two types. One type works in head offices, another in factories.

12. If you do not have technical knowledge for the merchandising job of the faculty, then your English skills, computer skills and email skills should be 100-100. However, technical knowledge will help you to avoid many dangers and help you to take a decision.
13. According to the traditional factories of Mercantile, there is no shortage of kennel cloth.
14. Additional income sources of merchandise are a factory product, and honor from the different suppliers. Merchandiser has the option of choosing the supply.
15. It is important to be aware of merchandise rates, composition, construction, congestion and quality.
16. Factory merchandisers learn to work faster than head office merchandisers.
17. Dream job for the merchandisers is the job of foreign buyers buying house.
18. Non technical people can do well in merchandising because of their patience. But technical people can do well also if they have patience.
19. Merchandisers get the transport, breakfast, dormitory of the factory.
20. If you have a habit of phone talking, that is a plus point for you as a merchandiser. Because they have to pass most of the time in phone talking and in emails.
21. The preferable major of the factory for merchandising is garment. But students of dying can do well also.
22. The guy of a little rough behavior can be a good merchandise.
23. To know dying is enough for the dying job, to know fabric is enough for the fabric job, to know garment is enough for the garment job, but to be a merchandiser you must know whole textile from the first to last.
24. About 3 years experience is needed to get a foreign buying house job.
25. Before entering in merchandising, you should start a job at production or quality. It you help you a lot to understand merchandising works.
26. Shipping is not the duty to do the job, if job targets are not working.
27. Merchandising job is a general shift. There is no shifting system.
28. Merchandising has 2 types. Fashion Merchandising, Visual Merchandising.
29. Besides these woven, knit, sweater merchandising are also another good types of job.
30. Overall to be a merchandiser can be a good aim of textile engineers.
