3.   PAYMENT SYSTEM IN A SEMESTER: A student has to pay his/her total fees of a particular semester in 3 installments. These are the followings:
i.   First time, at the very beginning of the semester which we call Registration Fee. Students can know information about their registration fee from their Student Portal or from the Accounts Section of DIU. Then, they can pay the registration fee at Southeast Bank Ltd. which is located in the Navana Tower (just beside Mohammodia Super Market) or at the Accounts section of DIU. Then s/he will collect Registration Clearance from the Accounts section, DIU. After that s/he will go to her/his advisor for completing the course registration.
ii.   Second time, before Mid-term examination. Students will have to pay the second installment before the mid-term examination. After paying mid-term exam fee (tuition fee), s/he will collect mid-term exam clearance which we call Admit card.
iii.   Third time, before Final examination. The third and final installment of the semester fee is received before the final examination. Students will collect their admit card by paying the remaining fees.

4.   Incomplete/Improvement Exam: Students who has missed any examination or performed bad in the examination or got marks below B grade or failed, have an option to sit for Incomplete/Improvement examination. For that, they have to follow the following the rules:

   Department office will notify the Incomplete/Improvement examination schedule within 10 days of finishing your Mid-term exam and within 15 days of finishing your Final exam.
   Contact your course teacher about the examination, and then collect Incomplete/Improvement form from the department office.
   Fill up the form correctly, take signatures first from your course teacher and then of department Head. Go to the Accounts section for paying required fees (for mid-term exam 40% of your one course’s tuition fees and for final exam 60% of one course’s tuition fees) and finally, submit the form in the department office.
   When you will go for taking permission from your course teacher s/he will inform you about the date of examination.

5.   REGARDING DUES:
   A student cannot carry the dues of one semester to another semester.

6.   SEMESTER DROP SYSTEM: In case of any emergency, one student may have to drop the semester. To drop a semester, one has to follow the following rules and regulations:

   Registrar office is the legal authority to approve or reject your application.
NB: After completing your course registration, even if you do not attend any single class in the whole semester, you have to pay all the fees of the semester. But if you are allowed to drop the semester, your do not have to pay registration fees in the next semester. The same rule is applicable for every upcoming semesters.
