Technical textiles are the functional fabrics, which find applications across multiple end-use industries such as automobile, construction, and others. These materials exhibit enhanced performance as compared to conventional textiles. The technical textile materials include several natural and synthetic fibers such as Saran, Vinalon, Vinyon, Spandex, Modal, Twaron, Kevlar, Nomex, and others. Most of these fibers have multiple applications, owing to their properties such as high strength, enhanced mechanical resistance, superior insulation, elevated tenacity, and high thermal resistance. Synthetic fibers that are used for these applications are manufactured from natural fibers.
