Researches show that the formation of milk protein-polyphenol complexes does not compromise the antioxidant potential of the beverage.Polyphenol–protein complexes are degraded during digestion.

The findings appear in the June 13 issue of the American Chemical Society's Journal of Agricultural and Food Chemistry.

Another research shows that addition of milk may not obviate the ability of black tea to modulate the antioxidant status of subjects and that consumption of black tea with/without milk prevents oxidative damage in vivo.[1]

Actually the subject is controversial. There are many journal explain that milk with tea is harmful and some said milk has no effect on tea. But my opinion is to avoid milk tea because it reduces the risk of high blood pressure, diabetes, increase body weight. It is also cost effective. From your refereed journal  I get two points

•   the protein fraction in milk can bind antioxidant molecules in tea
•   the antioxidant value of the tea + milk mix is reduced by up to -18% depending on the type and amount of milk you are using
o   skimmed, i.e. low fat, 'high' protein milk reduces binds more antioxidants than whole milk
o   the effect of milk on polyphenol binding in tea is non-linear or, in other words, if you double the amount of milk you won't lose twice as much of the antioxidants
(Ref: .Reddy VC,etal.Addition of milk does not alter the antioxidant activity of black tea.Ann nutr metab,2005 May-Jun;49(3):189-95.)

So you should avoid milk tea.
