The Qur'an is the miracle of all miracles
« on: August 07, 2009, 07:18:44 PM »
I urge everyone not to look at the followers, rather let's go back to the scriptures. Jesus(pbuh) never claimed divinity, rather he said, "I cast out devil with the spirit of GOD", "My father is greater than I" but most followers believe in trinity; father, son n holy spirit. Buddah never said "make a statue of me or worship me but followers are doing as such. According to Bedha, there is no image of God, no protima but followers are doing the opposite. So plz don't look at the followers, rather let's go back to the scriptures

Religion is undoubtedly necessary for human beings. Our life is a test for the hereafter. Earlier homosexuality was prohibited in many countries. Today it is allowed in many developed countries like in the UK. Pornography is also allowed in many countries nowadays. My question is where we shall draw the line or put the benchmark. That's why we need to follow the guidelines set by the Almighty. The Qur'an, the last n final testament from God has maintained the same form ever since it was revealed. "No other book in the earth keeps the original pure form as The Qur'an." said by the orientalist, famous historian and harsh critic of Islam, William Moore. Before the Second world War in the museum of Germany, hundreds of different copies of Qur'an of different times were collected to verify their verses. All the words of all copies were found word for word exact n accurate. No other book in the earth is as recited n memorized as the Qur'an. Millions of people have been memorizing it ever since it was revealed. At least every year millions of people across the world have been verifying it in the TARABEEH. The Qur'an is not a book of science, rather it's a book of signs; in fact it is the miracle of all miracles.

However, my question is why should we be ethical? For the sake of humanity? Who introduced the term humanity or humanism? Why should we be humane? For our own satisfaction!! Degeneration will occur if there is no belief in God. Ethics without religious values are useless. We talked about religious discriminant values. It is because people of different religions hardly read and follow their scriptures. Also, politicians of the world for their own personal gain and media supported by them divide people and create mischief on this earth. History also says that the so-called secularism n communism could not bring peace n prosperity to certain countries n nations.

The glorious Qur'an has got the solutions to the problems of humanity. Let's study more and more, shouldn't we?

Terrorism
« Reply #1 on: August 12, 2009, 03:04:38 PM »
No religion encourages terrorist acts or violence. The word ‘Islam‘ itself means ‘Peace, obtained by submitting yourself to the Almighty’. Anyone, be it Muslim or non-Muslim, who kills an innocent Muslim or a non-Muslim, kills the entire humanity. However, Islam goes a step further to say that if one saves innocent lives, the whole of humanity is saved. Injustice is the root cause of terrorism.

Palestinians are called terrorists just because they are fighting to get their land back. Take examples of LTTE (in Sri Lanka), IRA (in UK), Lord’s Salvation Army, which trains the young children to conduct terrorist attacks, and many other non-Muslim terrorist outfits; the lives claimed by these outfits are more than the ones by the Muslim terrorists.

Naxalites/Maoists across India, and Nepal and the LTTE in Sri Lanka were non-Muslim terror organisations, which had developed pan regional bases beyond national boundaries. Other such non-Muslim terror outfits included the United Liberation Front of Asam, National Democratic Front of Bodoland and All Tripura Tiger Force in the Northeast.

The Japanese Red Army, Lord’s Salvation Army and the ETA in Spain were also non-Islamic in character and composition.

“So nothing is more removed from truth as to suggest that Muslims have monopolized terrorism, ”. The Irish Republican Army, which was considered to be terrorist group, has a history of 100 years of violence against the British, but the British government doesn’t seem to be scared about them as they are about radical Islamic groups.

Besides, Even a single killing by a Muslim is condemned by Islam, whatsoever the reasons.

On the Media, Judiciary and Politicians

It is the plot of the Western media to destroy Muslims.

Media controlled by the political authorities is biased and does not portray the truth or reality. Islam does not justify using wrong means to reach the right goals. People should not take the law in their hands

Terrorism is a monopoly of politicians. People, regardless of their religion, wish to live harmonious lives, but politicians feed the feeling of hatred amongst them.

My choice of Muhammad to lead the list of the world's most influential persons may surprise some readers and may be questioned by others, but he was the only man in history who was supremely successful on both the religious and secular levels. _Michael H. Hart, famous historian (100 influencial men in history of the world). He placed Newton in 2nd place, and Jesus (PBUH) in 3rd place and justified his reasons.

"I would like to kill George W. Bush.” Betty held him responsible for mass killing in the Middle East, in which thousands of children were killed.--Betty Williams, Nobel Peace Prize (1976) winner

"Bush n Blair are criminals, n they are responsible for mass murder in the world, for the war, and for the occupation, through their support for Israel, and through their support for a globalised capitalist economic system, which is the biggest ...killer the world has ever known. It has killed far more people than Adolf Hitler"_George Galloway(former British MP)Read More

There is "little connection between suicide terrorism and Islamic fundamentalism, or any one of the world’s religions... . Rather, what nearly all suicide terrorist attacks have in common is a specific secular and strategic goal: to compel modern democracies to withdraw military forces from territory that the terrorists consider to be their homeland" (p. 4).Dying to win, Dr. Robert pape, PhD, an American writer

The Nazis called their opponents terrorists; Gandhi and his Indian Independence Movement were labeled terrorists by the British, those who fought for equality in South Africa were also called terrorists.

Declaration of Independence Signers The United States itself was conceived by men who the British considered to be "terrorists" and the Revolutionary War was won by a vastly outgunned Colonial army, that frequently employed terrorist/guerrilla tactics.

Nelson Mandela was considered terrorist by the White. Abraham Lincoln was considered terrorist by the British

An atheist n my thoughts
« Reply #5 on: August 23, 2009, 07:03:57 PM »
A Muslim never breaks his or her fast (ROZA) secretly and says to everybody that " i am fasting." Because he or she knows Almighty Allah is seeing him or her. If someone breaks Roza, he says that he is not fasting.

There are so many hidden sins and crimes being taken place every moment by millions of people around the world that often go unnoticed and unpunished. We believers believe that these sinners will be punished in the day of Judgment. I have seen many atheists who are ethical outwardly but they are truly Not. They are the cream of the society but they are corrupt. One of them whimsically gave one of our teachers 2nd class, later saying "Had i known you, i would have given you first class marks." Some of them used to do dirty politics while others utterly would say beautiful words but were personally deprived of moral values. Two of my colleagues often used to say; "Why should i be ethical always since i don't believe in religion." I saw many people saying "stealing is unethical" but they take bribe secretly. I had this experience at tax office at PURANA PALTON. I can give many many more examples. I am citing examples of people because there is no MANUAL of Ethics that can be followed universally. Very often change leads to distortion. Therefore, an unbeliever tends to be unethical more than a true believer because the former doesn't have to be accountable to anybody. Very rarely can a person control his or her evils by himself or herself.

However, a person will reveal his/her true character when s/he is allowed to do whatever he/she wishes. A very rich person may not be a thief at present, but do we know for sure that s/he would not steal if s/he were utterly poor? Likewise, a beggar who looks very gentle and soft might be a tyrant if s/he were a king. Our true character is revealed when we have ample of opportunity to do anything we wish. Or, if a person is sure that nobody can see what s/he does, then most probably s/he will do what s/he likes by nature. Our character is what you do in the dark.

So, religion is mandatory, i believe, to be ethical. Because It's Allah who is Just. He sees everything n will punish accordingly. A Muslim is Not a true muslim unless s/he is ethical. Cap n beard are not the only identity of a muslim. A muslim is one who acquires peace submitting his/her will to Almighty. I never talked about the supremacy of one religion over others. Rather i'd say that the Muslims are lagging behind because they are Not following their scriptures. The Christians and Hindus are not following their scriptures. Let's come to common terms as being in all Holy books.
I am not talking about the similarity between muslims, hindus n christians; mind you, this is similarity between hinduism, christianity n Islam

Please come to common terms as being in all holy books. All religions are same, this is a great lie but we can discuss the differences later on. According to all Holy books, the common things are: 1. We should worship only one GOD without a second. 2. We should not eat pork n drink alcohol. 3. There is no protima, no statue, no image or likeness of GOD. 4. We should do good deeds n forbid others from doing wrong deeds. 5. We should establish regular charity. 5.We should believe in and follow the last n final rishi Muhammad(pbuh). 6. Let us not associate partner(s) with GOD.

Buddha, Jesus(pbuh), n Muhammad(pbuh) never said, "make a statue of me, worship me or i am God." Actually they are the messengers of one GOD.

Shibli,

Thank you for your insightful writeup.

So then, what is the purpose of religion. Why does mankind need a religion at all?

Major Sins
« Reply #7 on: August 24, 2009, 03:11:04 PM »
AL- Kaba'ir Major Sins

1. Associating partners with Allaah (Shirk)

Great Shirk: worshipping beings other than Allaah (proof all over Qur'ân)

Small Shirk: Riya

The Prophet (saw), "Should I not inform you of that which I fear for you even ...more than the dangers of dajjaal? It is the hidden shirk: A person stands to pray and he beautifies his prayer because he sees the people looking at him". (Sahih; Sunan ibn Majah)

2. Committing murder: (Furqan; 68)

3. Performing Sorcery (2: 102)

4. Not performing the Prayers (Maryam: 59)

5. With holding the Zakah (Charity) (3: 180)

6. Breaking the fast of Ramadhan or not fasting in that month without a valid excuse.

Prophet (saw) said, "Islaam is built upon five pillars: testifying that there is no true god except Allah and that Muhammad is the messenger of Allah, performing the prayers, paying the Zakah, making the pilgrimage to the house, and fasting the month of Ramadhan" (Sahih al-Jami # 2837)
