To mark ‘Amar Ekushey’, the Language Martyrs Day and International Mother Language Day 2012, Daffodil International University brought out a rally from the university premises to Central Sheed Minar  and paid tribute through placing floral wreath to the martyrs of historic Language movement who sacrificed their lives for the recognition of Bangla as one of the state language of erstwhile Pakistan in 1952. The rally was led by Prof. Dr.M. Golam Maowla Choudhury, Proctor & Head of the department of Electrical and Telecommunication Engineering.Mr. Masum Iqbal, Head, BBA Program, Dr. Binoy Barman, Head, English Department, Mr. Nadir Bin Ali, Sr. Assistant Director (IT), Mr. Md. Anowar Habib Kazal, Assistant Director ( Public Relations) and other high officials and a large number of students also attended the rally. Later they visited Amar Ekushey Book Fair at Bangla Academy. A discussion program was arranged at the Student Launge by ‘Youth for Better Forum’ –a student organization of the university.
