"Message" (poem)
« on: December 29, 2009, 01:12:19 PM »
Message

When I consider personal self
I find there distortion of ideas
And so many things I left those I should do
They flicker, remind and claim love
I feel, but can’t touch
Because of rigid contemplation

When I consider universal self
I find there unfulfilled promises
And so many things I left those I should do
They cry, make aware and claim right
I densely feel, but can’t give
Because of being mere human.

Message-2

When your own action goes against you
Don’t fear my friend
You may suffer the sea
And you will gain knowledge the sea

When your action goes against you
Don’t get angry my friend
You may loose the pace
And you will get another track to suffice

Oh friend don’t mistrust self
The self will give you variable events in the way
Let involve, let face
Let see the mirror, the beauty in the mirror

When things go wrong
When contradiction takes place as contemplation
Don’t get hurt my friend
Welcome those and walk
Because it is you, who know better the self

When the road covered by condensed miasma and darkness
When your past is not adequate to move forward
Be passionate my friend No present in this world survive yet
The face of this world never the same, evolution is there
And being a part of this evolution you have nothing to lose.

Midway upon the journey of our life
I found myself within a forest dark,
For the straightforward pathway had been lost.
Ah me! how hard a thing it is to say
What was this forest savage, rough, and stern,
Which in the very thought renews the fear.
So bitter is it, death is little more;
But of the good to treat, which there I found,
Speak will I of the other things I saw there.
I cannot well repeat how there I entered,
So full was I of slumber at the moment
In which I had abandoned the true way.
But after I had reached a mountain's foot,
At that point where the valley terminated,
Which had with consternation pierced my heart,
Upward I looked, and I beheld its shoulders,
Vested already with that planet's rays
Which leadeth others right by every road.
Then was the fear a little quieted
That in my heart's lake had endured throughout
The night, which I had passed so piteously.
And even as he, who, with distressful breath,
Forth issued from the sea upon the shore,
    Turns to the water perilous and gazes;
So did my soul, that still was fleeing onward,
Turn itself back to re-behold the pass
Which never yet a living person left.
After my weary body I had rested,
The way resumed I on the desert slope,
So that the firm foot ever was the lower.

@ moheuddin

Thanks for your reply. But one thing I always expect, that is, one should mention the name of the authors/writers/poets, if quoting from them, otherwise it will be plagiarism, we should avoid plagiarism. However I enlist the details of your source-

Poet: Dante Alighieri

Poem: The Divine Comedy - Inferno

Inferno: Canto I
