Book on Phytochemical Research
« on: May 15, 2012, 04:44:17 PM »
Medicinal plants are plants which may have medicinal properties. Almost all our present medicines come from medicinal plants and are derived from research on medicinal plants. Plants and animals are responsible for a variety of useful medications. In fact, about forty percent of all prescriptions written today are composed from the natural compounds of different species. It is significant that over 150 million people, only about 20 per cent of these numbers in Bangladesh are in the habit of visiting allopathic doctors for treatment. A major part of the rest in the population opts for herbal treatment of which the 'unanni' and 'ayurvedic' systems are the favourite. Of course, the homeopathic treatment is also a favourite in Bangladesh and this system also depends a great deal on medicines derived from medicinal plants and herbs.
The book " Biological Investigation of Indian Oak'' will gives us the clear concept by which we can investigate the medicinal value of Plants. It is most useful for the students who want to research on Phytochemistry.
