2012 WISE Awards Call for NominationsThe World Innovation Summit on Education (WISE) invites holders of outstanding projects from all sectors and levels of education to apply for the 2012 WISE Awards. The WISE Awards are designed to identify, showcase and promote innovative educational projects from all sectors and regions of the world to inspire change in education.
Since the creation of the Awards in 2009, over 1,300 applications from 116 countries have been received, resulting in 98 Finalists and 18 winning projects. These selected Winners and Finalists set new standards for the international community and in mid-September this year the Community will welcome six additional Winners. The great diversity of projects recognized so far constitutes a pool of best practices that WISE intends to make accessible to all, in order to grow, adapt and replicate innovative educational solutions.
Each year, a Jury composed of leading experts from the education world selects six innovative projects for their concrete and positive impact on communities and societies. These winning projects gain global visibility and receive a prize of $20,000 (US). The International Association of University Presidents has been a proud academic partner of WISE since 2009 and several IAUP members have served on the WISE Awards juries and pre-juries.
