How to Keep Men's Hair Healthy
« on: June 26, 2012, 08:39:38 AM »
Instructions

1.Eat a diet that will help to keep your hair healthy. Hair is mostly protein, so you'll want to eat plenty of meats, soy products and other foods that are rich in protein. Vitamins B6 and B12 can also help to prevent hair lost. See the Resources section below to find a list of foods that offer these two vitamins.

2.Massage your scalp on a daily basis. This will improve the blood flow and circulation in your scalp, which will help to keep your hair healthy. The easiest way to massage your scalp is to do so when you're washing your hair. You can also do this while you're sitting down and watching TV.

3.Buy the right shampoo and conditioner for your hair. A man with a dry scalp should not use the same shampoo as somebody who has oily hair. Read the label of products carefully before you make your purchase. You may also want to consult a stylist and ask what products would be best for your hair.

4.Wash your hair every other day. Washing your hair every day will remove natural oils from the hair and scalp, which can cause your hair to become dry and brittle. On days that you don't wash your hair, use a gel or spray to style your hair and to make it smell nice.

5.Exfoliate your scalp once a week. Doing so will help to get rid of any dead skin cells that are on your scalp. Exfoliating can also remove dirt from the scalp and hair. Most exfoliating face washes are OK to use on the scalp.

6.Use lukewarm water to rinse your hair. Water that is too hot will cause your scalp to dry out, which will damage your hair.

7.Go to a stylist once a month to trim your hair and remove any damaged pieces of hair. The stylist can also thoroughly inspect your hair and scalp and look for any problems. Taking care of problems early is a great way to keep your hair healthy.

How to Straighten Hair Without Damaging It

Straightening hair is not that difficult of a task, but keeping your hair healthy after constantly straightening can be a challenge. There are many things that can help keep your hair in good, healthy condition even though you might be using a straightener on it quite often. Following a few tips will keep your hair looking straight and great!

1.First, it is important to buy a good straightener. My favorite brand of straighteners is called Chi. The Chi can be fairly expensive, but it is made with ceramic which does very little if any damage to your hair. Another good brand of hair straightener is Paul Mitchell. Make sure that you buy a straightener that is ceramic so that your hair is protected from the heat of the straightener.

2.After you wash your hair apply a dime size drop of John Frieda Thermal Care Hair Serum. This product does a wonderful job of stopping hair and protecting your hair from damage a hair straightener, blow dryer, or curling iron.

3.If you can let your hair air dry. The less heat you put on your hair the better.

4.Make sure your hair is completely dry before you straighten it. Try your best to only go over each section of hair once with your straightener. Going over it more than once will cause hair to become damaged.

5.Once a week apply a deep conditioner to your hair. This will allow your hair to get moisture back that it might have lost from the use of the hair straightener. Garnier and Aussie both make affordable and quality deep conditioners for hair.
