Dear all,
There may be a time when you need to export a list of Google Apps users to a .csv (comma separated value) file. Exporting a user list of your Google Apps accounts is helpful when you need to manipulate the data in some way. You can export the list and then import the data using Microsoft Excel or Google Spreadsheet. From there you can modify user's data including names and email addresses.
When you export a list of users in Google Apps the headers in the csv file include; EmailAddress, FirstName, LastName, LastLogin, FirstLogin and Quota. The Quota header is used to indicate the percentage of the mailbox's size is currently being used. Exporting the user list is convenient when you have to bulk change everyone's password for some reason. You can export the Google Apps user list then change the headers to; email address, first name, last name and then add password for the fourth column. Then add a password for your users. Perform a bulk upload of users and then set the password to change upon first login.
How To:• Log in to your Google Apps Domain as a user with Super Administrator privileges.
• Click on Manage this Domain in the upper right of your Email screen.
• Select the Organization & Users tab up top.
• Click on More Actions and then select Download as CSV.
• This will export your current list of users to a .csv file that you may now use to change, modify, add or remove Google Apps users. You can open this list in Microsoft Excel or Google Apps Spreadsheet. The image below shows what the list of users looks like when imported into Google Apps Spreadsheet.
