Liberation of Bangladesh / The true tribute...
« on: November 23, 2010, 12:48:42 AM »
Muktijoddhas or freedom fighters of our country are our assets. Just think for a second, you go down to the battlefield and try to break the hell out at your opponents although not having sufficient arms and ammos. They killed pakistani soldiers not with the rifles, not with other arms. But they killed them with their noble cause. But seeing the fake fighters enjoying various privileges where the poor crippled fighters cannot make both ends meet, makes one true Bangladeshi sick. An insult to the injury occurs, when the allowances could not reach to the just receipents due to "UNKNOWN" reasons. So, can't we DIU students make an effort to contribute as much as we can. This thing will actually pay homage to these men and to our great liberation war instead of organizing programs and conversing on them on the national days.

Heritage/Culture / It is BANGLADESH... not BANGLA!
« on: November 23, 2010, 12:05:33 AM »
Bangladesh has a history of its own. It has taken a lot to bring a word "BANGLADESH" in the world map replacing "EAST PAKISTAN"... But we all should bear one thing in mind and that is, we should make sure that our country may remain BANGLADESH instead of BANGLA. We should not refer Bangla instead of BANGLADESH or should not violate its existance by making it BANGLA. We, Bangladesh and west bangla as a race or language, both belong to BANGLA creed. But we (Bangladesh), have a separate entity. We should not forget that they had deprived us from getting a separate university of ours own, they used to treat us just as Muslims and used to tell that, "how come you become our brothers?", their economy used to depend on us but they deprived us,(e.g. their lawyers used to earn advocating our cases) etc. there are more examples. So, my point is, by refering BANGLA, we are conjuncting our entity with theirs, what makes true patriots SICK. So, west Bangla should remain to us as cousin brother instead of own brother!           I am sorry but I felt this has an issue with Bangladeshi heritage. And sorry my words are too harsh but actually true when you think it...

BBA Discussion Forum / Showing the enlightened way...
« on: November 14, 2010, 11:17:09 PM »
Dear BBA'ers, recently a non-profit organization of some students (as far I know situated at Paribagh), has started to make contributions to educate and help street children who have been addicted to different intoxicants and couldn't have the privilege to go to school. Recently, the organization organized a program to promote its activities and to draw attention of the donors. Now my point is, ALLAH has ALHAMDULILLAH blessed us with both wealth and education. Our parents can afford to bear our expenses. But, these poor children don't have these convenience. So, can't we do anything for them? We the students of DIU can start our own organization to support these children. Seeing this, other universities will also be encouraged with this and will start to practice the same. With all our participation we INSHALLAH can bring good out of these social negativities. I would like to start this with our dept. Please suggest how we can make this possible...

Allah: My belief / Why Monotheism makes sense?
« on: November 09, 2010, 12:50:51 AM »
AS SALAMU ALAIKUM, This world's "inhabitians" have different types of characteristics, mindset and of course viewpoint. So, taking these elements different types of "theories" have been evolved... I am not going at the "divine" stuffs... Anyway, so, these "theories" have thus become religious attributes and these culminate into a whole religious material. For example- kayan women wear neckrings to protect themselves from indecorous eyes of tribal men... Now, these religions are divided into MAINLY 2 parts, MONOTHEISM and POLYTHEISM. Monotheism means beliving in one god and Polytheism means beliving in multiple gods. Now talk about Polytheism, hindus & also greeks are seen prominent belivers of this. But whenever you look at their mythologies, you'll find conflicts and immoral stuffs among the gods and deities. For example- the first hand conflict between ganesh and shiv... As ganesh was ordered by his "mother" parvati, to restrict shiv from entering the bath place. So when ganesh restricted him, he cut his head and then he realized his mistake thus reconjucted his head and made him a god of problem-solving, caliber etc... Another example could be given, as ravan was a great admirer of shiva, shiva gave him blessings although he knew that the demons make chaos and try to capture 'indralooke', the residence of devs. Now when asked about this, hindus can say one thing "Dont you know that he (shiv) is bholenath"? (the innocent one)... Now does this make sense? I have been thinking this for a while and thus I wanted to share this with you people.
Now lets talk about Monotheism, I know there are some religions who follow this. Some get confused when they "implement" replicas or forms of the god, like zoroastrianism who worship fire. But the most prominent users are we MUSLIMS... We humans are naturally very much attrated to pictures or substances rather than other verbal or other stuffs. But ISLAM is the only religion, where you can see the opposite. Here, I am biasly giving an edge to MUSLIMS. Now moving to the point, ALLAH himself declared in a SURAH that, if there were more than one god then both would have been finished. Now this make SENSE...
Now if we move on to another religions scriptures, we'll definately find different conflicts between gods. Like- conflict between Aphrediati and Mars in greek mythology etc. Now I understand that they were later persued by other gods but does that make sense that, they don't conflict after that incident. Because, they are gods, don't they have their own say? Or do they always listen to zeus?
Think about these things once and u'll get an answer about the TRUTH... Again, I'm sorry if I had said any degenerated stuffs or if I had hurt any specific creed.
MAY THE ACTUAL OMNIPOTENT ONE BLESS US ALL... AMEEN

Bissash, a new "interesting" program, telecarted every friday in BTV is actually a mythical episodic drama, and is doing quite well... But one thing really makes me think that, is Bisshash a tool for Mojay Mojay Shekha (M.M.S)?... The drama itself is very effective to learn english (sub-consciously). So why are they using some clips of the drama in M.M.S? So, I think the drama should not be anyhow conjuncted with the program as it talks about the cultural identity of ours, although it is trying to copy "Heroes" or "Seven" in some respect. But I personally wanna see this as a BBC project illustrating the rich cultural heritage of Bangladesh as it is gonna be shown in different parts of the world...

Use of Forum / Teachers: Newbie?!
« on: October 26, 2010, 06:10:53 PM »
My respected forum members, Teachers are like shelter to us... If they had not been a constant monitor to our academic and sometimes personal lives, then we could easily understand where else our world would be... But one think really gives me pain when a teacher is been designated a "newbie" or something like that type of a post...They have a lot of chores to do and thus cannot participate in the forum...Now, what I do feel is that, although they cant participate they should have a decent "administrative" position...Please do think about it...It is almost a plea to the forum authority...

Use of Forum / Could the post format be changed?
« on: October 25, 2010, 02:36:38 AM »
Many of us just to become a jr. member of the forum tend to write unnecessary stuffs to increase the posts, like "thank you" etc...   Shouldn't this be discouraged? And shouldn't the persons who write necessary stuffs be promoted, although they have not written many posts?

BBA Discussion Forum / F3
« on: October 18, 2010, 04:21:03 PM »
Dear BBA'ers,
there is a "mixed" reaction on which book is actually appropriate for financial accounting...           But, in my sense paper F3 BPP learning media is actually a good choice...
The main difference that lies in managerial accounting and financial accounting is the "accountability"... It means managerial accounting is generally prepared for the internal authority and financial acc. is for external ones...
Paper F3 firstly tells us about the "governing bodies" of accounting in the UK, US and around the world...
Which helps to be accountable to the "other parties"...
There are other aspects as well...   I will describe this book's positive aspects, comparing with other books INSHALLAH...
