How to Straighten Hair Without Damaging It
Straightening hair is not that difficult of a task, but keeping your hair healthy after constantly straightening can be a challenge. There are many things that can help keep your hair in good, healthy condition even though you might be using a straightener on it quite often. Following a few tips will keep your hair looking straight and great!
1.First, it is important to buy a good straightener. My favorite brand of straighteners is called Chi. The Chi can be fairly expensive, but it is made with ceramic which does very little if any damage to your hair. Another good brand of hair straightener is Paul Mitchell. Make sure that you buy a straightener that is ceramic so that your hair is protected from the heat of the straightener.
2.After you wash your hair apply a dime size drop of John Frieda Thermal Care Hair Serum. This product does a wonderful job of stopping hair and protecting your hair from damage a hair straightener, blow dryer, or curling iron.
3.If you can let your hair air dry. The less heat you put on your hair the better.
4.Make sure your hair is completely dry before you straighten it. Try your best to only go over each section of hair once with your straightener. Going over it more than once will cause hair to become damaged.
5.Once a week apply a deep conditioner to your hair. This will allow your hair to get moisture back that it might have lost from the use of the hair straightener. Garnier and Aussie both make affordable and quality deep conditioners for hair.
