AMAZING MEDICAL MIRROR THAT CAN CALCULATE OUR HEART BEAT

The invention of the amazing Mirror which can actually tell us about our heart beat is
a great step in medical field helping specially common people to check their heart beat by standing in front of the mirror.

It works by installing a webcam behind the mirror that captures the variations on our face by reflected light. The webcam actually calculates the small fluctuations in reflected light.

Programmed and invented by a MIT student named Ming-Zher Poh. He wants to make it workable by even a low camera. So that it could be easily available to every phone and computers. The medical science are developing with high resolution cameras to make it even more useful.

HOW PROFESSOR STEPHEN HAWKINGS TALK DESPITE OF COMPLETE PARALYSIS

One of the most brilliant theoretical physicists of the century, Professor Stephen Hawking is known for his pioneering research that helped in understanding black holes and his contributions to quantum gravity and cosmology. He is the author of the bestseller book 'A Brief History of Time‘.

He had some neuromotor disease and became paralysed at the age of 21. Today he is completely paralyzed below the neck but continues his work from the confines of a wheelchair enabled by technological aids.  Thanks to the advanced speech synthesizer that he uses. The voice we hear as Professor Hawking's is actually a computer generated voice, created by the speech synthesizer.

Scientist built a device that enables Hawking to write onto a computer with small movements of his cheeks, sensor under his eye attached to his glasses capture this signal to auto complete words from predictive texts and then have a voice synthesiser speak what he has typed.

WHEN TO USE HOMEOPATHIC MEDICINE RATHER THAN CONVENTIONAL MEDICINE

It is used especially in case of chronic, long standing and recurring diseases like allergies, bronchitis, Chrohn's disease, …..Psoriasis, Rheumatism, Sinusitis, Trigeminal Neuralgia, Ulcerative Colitis, Vitiligo, etc, homeopathy offers results which can be life changing in a real sense.

In the cases of allergic diseases like Asthma, urticaria, and the like, it can enhance body's immune mechanism is such as way that the body no more reacts in abnormal way by producing constricted bronchial tubes, abnormal release of histamine, spasm, inflammation, etc.

In cases of ulcerative diseases (like Ulcerative colitis), it leads the immune mechanism to enhance ulcer healing mechanism.

In cases of chronic infections (e.g. Hepatitis C ) it reduces the count and activities of the virus.

WHAT IS HOMEOPATHY?

Homeopathy is a system of medicine originated in Germany in 1794, which is based on the principle of The Law of Similars.

Homeopathy works much beyond vaccination, the dose is unbelievably miniscule, still very powerful but absolutely harmless

Contrary to the conventional medicine, the action of homeopathy is much safer, deeper acting, somewhat slower, and results much longer lasting by energizing the body's curative powers.

Homeopathy is amongst the youngest and latest medicines calling for more research and promotion. Homeopathy awareness is growing rapidly.

Common Forum/Request/Suggestions / BIONIC CONTACT LENS
« on: February 25, 2013, 02:00:35 PM »

IT IS TIME TO SEE THE WORLD THROUGH  BIONIC CONTACT LENS

Bionic contact lens could be used by drivers and pilots, providing routes and information on weather or the vehicle.
the lens CAN ALSO help monitor a person’s biological conditions such as cholesterol level or the presence of viruses and bacteria.
The collected data can then be sent wirelessly to a computer. It can also assist the visually impaired.

Bionic contact lenses = conventional  elastic contact lens +  added bionics technology (imprinted electronic circuit).

IT provides a virtual display. The invention allows the wearers to see the world by superimposing computerized pictures onto their natural view.

HOW AMAZING IT WOULD BE TO USE WINDOWS OR MIRRORS AS COMPUTER MONITORS

The NEWLY INVENTED TRRAM (transparent resistive random access memory) CHIP technology could enable the windows or mirrors in our home to be used as computer monitors and television screens. This technology is expected to be available within 3 to 4 years.

TRRAM Is similar to existing chips known as (CMOS) or metal-oxide semiconductor memory, which we use in new electronics. The difference is that TRRAM is completely clear and transparent.

Inventors, Jung Won Seo, Jae-Woo Park, Keong Su Lim, Ji-Hwan Yang and Sang Jung Kang, who are scientists at the Korean Advanced Institute of Science and Technology, have created the world's first transparent computer chip. "It is a new milestone of transparent electronic systems," says Jung Won Seo. "By integrating TRRAM with other transparent electronic components, we can create a total see-through embedded electronic systems."

Science and Information / BODY SURFACE AS TOUCHSCREEN
« on: February 23, 2013, 03:08:52 PM »
DOESN'T IT SOUND INTERESTING THAT WE CAN USE OUR BODY SURFACE AS TOUCHSCREEN?

Yes it is becoming possible, one of the newest invention ideas in interface devices is Skinput.

This invention allows the suface of our body to be used as a touchscreen.

This is how it works.

An armband projects the image of a menu or keyboard onto your hand or forearm. This armband also contains an bio-acoustic sensor that can detect and analyze sound frequencies. Because of bone density, joints, and soft tissue, different locations on the body have different acoustic properties.

When we tap our finger on different parts of your body it creates a unique frequency based on the specific area.Skinput can detect what part of a projected image we are touching and in turn can transmit a wireless signal to a computer, smart phone or other device.

Skinput was created by the project team of Desney Tan, a senior researcher in the Visulization and Interaction Area at Microsoft Research; Dan Morris, a researcher in the Computational User Experiences at Microsoft Research; and Chris Harrison, a third year Ph.D student in the Human-Computer Interaction Institute at Carnegie Mellon Univeristy.

Bullet train or Shinkansen (means “new trunk lines”) originated in Japan are becoming popular day by day due to it's fast speed, safe journey and  absence of environmental pollution.

In bullet trains magnetic levitation, is used to propel the train down the track. It runs on special magnetic tracks that have minimal turns and curves to prevent accidents. They are one of the most environmentally friendly, safest, fastest way to travel. They have decreased the amount of car usage in the world.

Worlds fastest Train: 574.8kmph

World's fastest 10 trains are

By 2025 Europe plans to dramatically increase its connections and the EU has a goal of creating a Trans-European high speed train network to connect the entire region. Other examples of future high speed rail plans can be found across the globe from California to Morocco to Saudi Arabia, thus strengthening the importance of high speed trains as a viable form of future public transportation.

Science Discussion Forum / WHAT DOES FISH OIL DO FOR US?
« on: February 25, 2012, 09:36:58 AM »
Fish oil, made from the tissue of oily fish-such as salmon, tuna has many health benefits.

Fish oil contains important Omega-3 fatty acids is believed to have health benefits ranging from
reducing the risk of heart attack and coronary heart disease,
reduction of depression, disorder to improving life of cells thus acting as anti-aging.
Consumption of dietary fish or fish oil supplements can lower blood fat-and increase "good" cholesterol, while slightly thinning the blood.
In addition to the numerous benefits already mentioned for the heart, fish oil can also slow the hardening of arteries and slightly lower blood pressure-two more important factors of heart health.

The human body cannot make Omega-3 fatty acids, and therefore is dependent on outside sources for the essential fatty acids. We must get it through either food (i.e. eating the recommended 2 servings of fish per week) or through a fish oil supplement.

FISH OIL SUMMARY

Reduces (Cholesterol,  depression, inflammation, joint pain, weight(better than diet and exercise alone), risk of heart attack,  soreness from strength training, tumour growth, ulcers)

Improves (skin, brain function in babies, mental focus, vision, mode, life span of cells thus acts as anti-aging)

OLIVE FRUIT IS AVAILABLE PLENTY IN OUR COUNTRY. USUALLY WE EAT IT AS IT IS OR MAKE PICKLE. BUT HOW GOOD IT IS IN PREVENTING HEART DISEASES AND SERVE OTHER PURPOSES DO WE KNOW?

1. Olive oil is a natural juice which preserves the taste, aroma, vitamins and properties of the olive fruit which can be consumed as it is.

2. Olive oil protects against heart disease by controlling "bad" cholesterol levels while raising the "good" cholesterol levels.

3. Olive oil is very well tolerated by the stomach. In fact, olive oil's protective function has a beneficial effect on ulcers and gastritis.

4. Olive oil helps in glowing soft skin & soft shiny hair. It also prevents cancer.

Which olive oil should we eat?  -  We should eat EXTRA VIRGIN olive oil, which is less processed contains higher levels of antioxidants, particularly vitamin E and phenols.

The olive oil which are eatable are available in the superstores (AGORA, NONDAN, GULSHAN DCC market) in our country.

So lets start taking olive oil instead of other cooking oil to reduce the life risk and have healthy shiny skin and hair.
