Career Planning / Very Special Invitation to meet the president of ISSB on 9th June 2011

Dear Students,

 

As you know to protect the sovereignty of the nation there is no other way other than having a strong armed forces. To have strong armed forces we need good leaders as their officers. The job of ISSB is to select officers for armed forces from the young volunteers.

 

As a part of their mission Brigadier General Mirza Baker Sarwar Ahmed (NDC, PSC) the President of ISSB will visit Daffodil International University to motivate young bloods to join armed forces who is ready to sacrifice him/herself for their motherland.

 

Interested students are welcome at DIU auditorium at sharp 11.00 am for about 1.30 hours on 9th June 2011 to join the interactive discussion with the President with an extensive knowledge from number of UN missions including enormous travelling history around the world.

প্রিয় সন্তান,
………… আমি যখন বার্ধক্য উপনীত হবো…। আমি আশা করবো..“তুমি আমাকে বুঝবে এবং আমার সাথে ধৈর্যশীল হবে”, ধরো আমি যদি হঠাৎ থালা ভেঙ্গে ফেলি, অথবা টেবিলে স্যুপ ফেলে নষ্ট করি… কারণ আমি আমার দৃষ্টিশক্তি হরিয়ে ফেলছি…। আশা করি তুমি আমার প্রতি চিৎকার করবে না। বয়স্ক মানুষ খুব স্পর্শকাতর……তুমি যখন চিৎকার করে কথা বলো তখন তারা নিজের কাছে খুব ছোট হয়ে যায়, অসহায় আর অপরাধী মনে করে নিজেকে।। যখন আমার শ্রবণশক্তি শেষ হয়ে আসছে…এবং আমি শুনতে পাচ্ছি না তুমি কী বলছ!! তোমার তখন আমাকে “বধির” বলা উচিৎ নয়। দয়া করে তুমি পুনরায় বলো অথবা লিখে দেখাও আমি দুঃখিত বাবা……আমি বৃদ্ধ হয়ে যাচ্ছি……আমার পা দুর্বল হয়ে আসে আমি মনে মনে চাই তোমার সে ধৈর্য থাকবে আমাকে দাঁড়াতে সাহায্য করার জন্য। যেভাবে আমি তোমার পাশে ছিলাম, যখন তুমি ছোট ছিলে……হাঁটতে শিখছিলে পা পা করে… আমার কথা শুনো…… যখন আমি অসহায়ের মত তোমার নিকট কথা বলবো… ভাঙা রেকর্ডের মতো … আমি চাইবো তুমি শুধু আমার কথাটুকু শুনবে.. আমাকে নিয়ে ঠাট্টা করো না… অথবা আমার কথা শুনে বিরক্ত হয়ো না……… তোমর মনে আছে

??
তুমি ছোট থাকতে আমার কাছে একটা বেলুন চেয়েছিলে!!!!! সেটা না পাওয়া পর্যন্ত তুমি বারবার আমাকে সেটাই বলতে… সারাক্ষণ জিজ্ঞেস করতে.. “কখন দেবে কখন দেবে………” এবং আমার গন্ধ সহ্য করো, বৃদ্ধের মতই আমার গন্ধ হবে…এজন্য… দয়া করে আমাকে গোসল করার জন্য জোর করোনা, আমার শরীর দুর্বল, ঠাণ্ডায় বয়স্ক মানুষেরা খুব তাড়াতাড়ি অসুস্থ হয়ে পড়ে… আমার আশা আমি তোমকে অমার্জিত করিনি তুমি যখন ছোট ছিলে…আমাকে তোমার পেছনে দৌড়াতে হতো… কারণ তুমি গোসল করতে চাইতে না আমি যখন সহজে রেগে যাই.. এটা বয়স্ক হবার একটা সাধারণ দোষ, বার্ধক্য আসলে তুমি নিজেই বুঝতে পারবে।। আর যখন তোমার অলস সময় থাকবে, আমি আশা করবো তুমি আমার সাথে একটু সময়ের জন্য হলেও কথা বলো……আমি এ সময়ে সর্বদা একাকীত্বে ভুগি এবং কথা বলার মানুষ পাই না আমি জানি তুমি ব্যস্ত থাকো কাজের মাঝে.. যদিও তুমি আমার কথায় ও গল্পে আনন্দ না পাও.. আমার জন্য কিছু সময় রেখো তুমি যখন ছোট ছিলে তোমার কী মনে পড়ে?? তোমার টেডি বিয়ারের কথাও আমি শুনতাম… যখন সময় আসবে আমি অসুস্থ হয়ে পড়বো এবং বিছানায় শায়িত হয়ে পড়বো তুমি কী আমার যত্ন করার মতো ধৈর্য রাখবে

??
আমি দুঃখিত, দুর্ঘটনা বশত যদি আমি বিছানা ভিজিয়ে ফেলি অথবা বোকার মত আচরণ করি আমি আশা করি তুমি এটুকু ধৈর্য রাখবে জীবনের শেষ মুহূর্তগুলোতে আমাকে দেখে রাখার জন্য… আমি আর বেশিদিন বেঁচে থাকব না

……… যাই হোক……… যখন আমার মৃত্যু আসবে.. তুমি কী আমার হাত ধরে থাকবে না; যা আমাকে মৃত্যুকে আলিঙ্গন করার জন্য সাহস যোগাবে। এবং চিন্তা করোনা…যখন আমার সৃষ্টিকর্তার সাথে দেখা হবে… আমি তার কানে অবশ্যই বলবো…তোমকে অনুগ্রহ করতে………কারণ তুমি তোমার বাবা-মাকে ভালবেসেছিলে……… তোমার যত্ন ও সহমর্মিতার জন্য ধন্যবাদ……… আমরা তোমাকে ভালোবাসি।।।। আরও ভালোবাসার সাথে…… বাবা-মা

Debate Forum / Daffodil International University Debating Club (DIUDC) became champion.

Daffodil International University Debating Club became Champion in
National Debate Championship -2011

Dear Respected All,
It's our great pleasure to inform you all that, Daffodil International University Debating Club (DIUDC) became Champion at the Grand final of the National Debate Championship 2011 organized by the Jahangirnagor University Debate Organization  in association with Ministry of Freedom fighters, Peoples Republic of Bangladesh. DIUDC beat Dhaka University Debating Society in the Grand Final. Before that they beat Jahangir Nagar University Debate Organization in the semi-final match in their home ground. DIUDC faced Dhaka University Debating Society in the Grand Final held at Muktomoncho of Jahangirnagor University today at  6.00 pm in the evening.  Professor Nazrul Islam, Chairman, University Grants Commission handed over the Champion Trophy as the chief guest to the members of the DIU Debating Club. 28  reputed Public and Private universities debate team from around the country participated in the tournament.
This is an another milestone for DIU Debating Club as well as for the Daffodil International University.

Lets we salute our heroes of the today's winning team.
