It’s not very common in Bangladesh soul without boundary. It’s a long history of Bangladeshi people to be with a vicious circle of same kind of activities and understanding. Self employment is not only individual but also creates employment for others. Now a day university students and scholars are in responsibility to create job opportunities for people around considering over population and poverty.

Get ready for seeing yourself successful business personnel whether you are male or female, good or bad student (so called).

Remember, it’s your intellectual capacity only, financial support is waiting for you from many corners including GO, NGO, Bank etc.

This forum can link you properly!

Regards,

Raju

It’s really time to start thinking about development journalism and communication. My experience with development communication for last 10 years at field and policy level given strength to express that universities and institution can play a great role at this moment where poverty, climate change, economic crisis etc needs proper analysis, publication and broadcasting my media and journalist.

I feel that DAJA competition flyer can be a good learning tool for student so that they can visualize about their role more widely.

Raju

Common Forum / AILA: Long term impact in Bangladesh!
« on: June 01, 2009, 01:22:33 PM »
Hi all,

In normal course cyclone attack and kill people all of a sudden then situation can be improved through different initiatives. This time AILA damages embankment that increases salinity and poisonous water will remain for long at localities covering huge areas throughout southern part of Bangladesh.

At this point it seems clear that water (with salinity and pollution) will remain for long in affected areas. Considering the situations there are numbers of people are migrating for survival and possibility of huge migration can’t ignore. Children, women, disabled are in vulnerable situation in many ways. Crisis for shelter, food, water, medicine and overall psychological stress may create conflicts among communities soon. Leaving homeland or migration is another disaster for people that can create psychological disorder among huge number of population in Bangladesh. Thousand and thousands of people are at risk and possibility to migrate different part of the country and those people with high level of anxiety of marginality can create lot of national problem. At the same time unsafe migration and trafficking possibilities also getting high. On the other hand, schools are damaged or using as cyclone center when children will be out of education that may cause of dropout or parents migration as well.

Safe home for children and intensive relief, rehabilitation and medication can reduce migration possibilities. Moreover psychosocial support they need to cope with disaster and to perform economic activities rather than begging or asking for relief all the way.

Faculty Forum / CallCenter Training : for blind people
« on: May 30, 2009, 10:14:54 AM »
Hi there,

I am with an idea for long” Using blind people for voice service at offices radio and call centers”. My working experience with Sightsavers, ORBIS, SANDHANI helps me to think about it. I never feel comfortable by using so called beautiful faces with makeup and huge investment for voice service. Blind people can be trained and join there in a ratio that will be low cost but with high impact. May be it’s our world with ability and disabilities that can be with anyone, you and me, he or she!

Let me know for exploring the idea meaningfully if it goes with you.

Regards,

Raju

Issue of the month June 2009: Corruption

These days corruption became a cultural truth from many ends including governmental, nongovernmental and individuals. Directly or indirectly most of the Bangladeshi people are responding positively with corruption knowingly or unknowingly. Considering historical, anthropological and cultural relationship with corruption in Bangladesh may be we need to develop new kind of tools creatively for reducing or removal corruption from the root.

May be people who are engaging themselves in corruption are clever, creative, energetic, extempore and with improvisational quality all the way. Please start brain fry for discovering how we can utilize creative people with all human potentials to tackle corruption from the root.

How you think the issue and comments we placed here?  Please start interaction with all forum members…..

Regards,

Raju
