8) I have taught almost my whole entire life at home and abroad for more than four decades. I asked so many of my colleagues the same question time and again but very few were able to give me an appropriate answer. I'd now ask all my present colleagues at DIU the same question for their input in this. And the question is:
Why do teach at all?

I teach because I love to share,I teach because I am curious,I teach because it is my passion.I teach to enjoy the freedom...freedom of teaching & learning...

Very intelligent response to the question. Thank you! Tina.
I think we can think of some more good reasons. I am announcing another good prize for the most intelligent and appropriate response.
Come on colleagues, hurry up!

Thank you Sir... :)

Where are the rest of our colleagues who teach?
-
Why do I teach?.... hmm... :-\
Got my answer. I teach because my father asked me to do so. :D
-
Madam.
Thank you. That's an intelligent response but I would like some reasons which are practical embedded with some personal/emotional elements to it. I hope our colleagues would take note of this post while responding.
Thank you all.

I teach so that my students get good jobs and also become better human beings than already they are now :D
-
Does teaching have any connection with passion?
-
I mean do we have to have a special fascination for teaching? Is it only a job? Or, special kind of responsibility?
-
Respected Sir,
Thank you very much for drawing our attention to the issue. I strongly believe that teaching has an integral connection with passion. I do teach because it delights me. I do teach, for I have a commitment to myself. I do teach as teaching satisfies my psychological thirst. What is more important to me, teaching teaches me what to learn more, how to read, what to read, how to talk and the like, so I teach to learn, unlearn and relearn.

Wow!!!! Subrata. Very thought provoking and I do agree with you absolutely. Any body else to throw their hats in to this?
-
Sometimes I hear people say "cheating" in place of teaching. It sounds sarcastic but is there any truth in it? I wonder.
-
Where are my clever colleagues like the likes of Shampa, Laboni, Rabeya, Tahsina, Arif, Tosuf, Subrata, Rakib and the rest of them?
-
Both the words contain the same letters!!!

I know, Tina, but do all teachers teach? Do many a teacher cheats? Please think deeply and let us know.
-
But the question's asking for more serious response, young lady, I mean, Tina.
-
Anyone can respond to the question, Sir... :)

Irina madam, your case is similar to mine :D.

Respected Sir,
Thank you for the post. I teach to change future! I teach because it allows me to add colours to someone's dream and most often make the dream true. :)
