This project is only to prove "No Fear, No Boringness in Mathematics" to the students of school and colleges. Total project is about math. Our Idea makes the project unique. ACM ICPC 2012 decided to be hosted by Daffodil International University
Decision by the Director, ACM Asia Regional ICPC

Dear Sir:

This is the best news I have ever heard!

I wish I could be there at that time and participate in this arrangement! Thanks to all CSE students, all faculties, Head, Registrar and specially Chairman Sir.

Also best wishes for the upcoming contest. I assume DIU CSE, CIS & CS will be the most demanding department with 100% employed students after this contests.

Because, end of day, success of our students will only be noted.

P.S-1: I really miss the event on next contest. Nazmul and who-ever in responsibility of contest training, can you please send our contestants to BUET practice sessions (or arrange weekly contest in DIU?).

P.S-2: How about making arrangement to participate our students in codechef.com or SGU virtual contest?

P.S-3: Contest performance   + exam waiver could inspire good students, attract them in practicing. Please involve exam controller even if needed. I guess Head of CSE will allow class test waiver or special class tests for the contestants (and impose faculties to consider the contestants).

P.S-4: Anyway my  hope is like that, DIU Contest arrangement team will keep me in their team atleast as a guest!  Best wishes.

thank u very much for providing such a nice website for our students. I have already given the link to our students.

Arefin few days ago you criticize the naming of different Universities of BD. You also criticize about the naming of our beloved university. You are still the part of it. You know that Daffodil International University is a sister concern of Daffodil Group. Its not the name borrowed from other organization. Your comment really heart me. Hope you do not make such criticism about our university.

Thank you very much for circulating the news about the site (http://www.acmsolver.org/bangla/).

With all due respect, I want to clarify that the article was a published in Rosh+alo (fun magazine of Prothom-alo) and I know the real reason behind the name 'Daffodil'. It is from the "To Daffodils" - a poem by William Wordsworth, once Chairman Sir told in some interview.

I believe this wonderful naming reason could be mentioned somewhere in the website.

Thanks for your opinion about my article, I am really sorry, if it hurts anyone.

Often it become hard to understand the English programming book. The bangle programming lecture will be very effective to learn the programming.

Can anyone please make a small printed notice and circulate in some points of DIU campus about this site? I guess it will not only help CSE students but also students from other faculties/departemnts.

Finally, these all are my personal opinion and not necessarily to be the hard rule.

- Removing some old banners and create new.
- Making a latest news box (example - http://www.buet.ac.bd/)
- More information on Scholarship and DIU campus (this is one that should be highlighted not the 7 natural wonders!)
- Providing more information about exam system and quality of education.
- Removing Chat/ Topic etc. from homepage  (what should be there ? please check any US or Canada or AUS university webpage, see: http://www.uq.edu.au/)
- Making the banner photos rotating (new picture each week or atleast in 15 day)
- A Chairman's message (a link may be) could be added in homepage.
- Create scope for international students/ players/ actors etc. (and highlight them in homepage!)
- making a Video Channel in youtube.com (everyday broadcast what's happening in DIU)
- Highlight news about scholar students/ faculty/ administrative success!


I strongly believe, webmasters/team should be  well trained for all these things and supervised by a group of faculty and administrative persons.

These are only suggestions. Any update is welcome.

Programming Competition / Re: ACM-ICPC at DIU ?

Thank you all, for your kind attention in this issue. I will try to collaborate from here (Newcastle U, Aus) every now and then.

I believe it will be possible to arrange ACM-ICPC if we contact relevant people  as early as possible and give  EOI. I also think that DIU auditorium and other labs (in Prince plaza) could be used for this purpose and prize giving can be held at Sheraton. (with sponsors' support)

Even we can contact ACM-ICPC authority to make this possible in Daffodil International University. They must be looking for new venues other than BUET and NSU!

P.S: Please continue training our students (please enroll old good contestants as MS students with specious scholarships), there will be no point if we host the contest but can not go to world final!!

Going to ACM-ICPC WF should be our ultimate goal and outstanding advertisement.
