Title: What is image processing used for in the real world?

These are just examples:
Photography
Cameras
Forensics
Medical imaging
Machine vision (Robotics)
Manufacturing testing
Video processing (TVs, monitors, displays)
Scanners
Security
and many many others. If you can put a camera, you need image processing.
