Faculty Forum / Re: Top Ten Forum users
« on: September 26, 2010, 10:24:21 AM »
Forum is not a mere thing only to post. The post should be appropriate, logical and understandable. I saw many people replying without understanding the topic properly. Just to increase the quantity of post is very much odious to see. I entirely agree with Raju Sir and Mr. Ansary.
Thank you

While you are Student / Re: A good practice
« on: September 23, 2010, 02:33:36 PM »
“I know you've heard it a thousand times before. But it's true -- hard work pays off. If you want to be good, you have to practice, practice, practice. If you don't love something, then don't do it.”---Ray Bradbury

Try to write on the basis of the topic please.

Please read the message of Shah Al Mamun & Shibli Sir. Try to cope up with the situation please. Do you think that our Authority will plunge you in an inferior position?? Be positive. If faced any problem, communicate with the Head of the Department directly.

Dear all students,
Do you know that what do you want from us?? 1. Quality Education; 2. Friendly Behavior; 3. Proper facilities like supply of water, generator (as electricity is a national problem),  Lift (we're now using three lift), Library (we've also possessed virtual/digital library),  waiver system (we're giving a lot in this regard); 4. Canteen (within few days you will get a wonderful canteen); etc. But do you ever think for a moment what do we want from you. Students can easily meet the demand of ours. Just follow the rules & regulation of our university in every aspect. Please wear/hang Id card, the identity of yours. Why should we have to tell several times that hang the Id card, hang the Id card, its your duty to do so. Thank you all.

BBA Discussion Forum / Re: Old Electricity Problem :(
« on: August 24, 2010, 11:44:30 PM »
Please don't forget that we're living in a country where Electricity is a national problem. So have patience. One thing is mentionable that recently we bought a generator and we're getting support from it and another good news is that we're trying to buy a more powerful generator (which is not avaiable in our country) which will fulfill our expectation. Be positive.

Real Estate / Re: Recent traffic jam .....
« on: August 16, 2010, 11:42:35 PM »
Dear all,
Trafic Jam, a common phenomenon in Dhaka city, is increasing day by day and it will be increased because of our system. Haven't you heard or not that DK is the most disorganized/Jumbled/Messy  capital city in the world. Just look, every important institutions/offices are in DK, there are many Garments are in the main center of DK, all the Ministry are in DK, different NGO' head offices are in DK, better Health services are in DK, best Universities are in DK, last of all, opportunities are in DHAKA. So Marketing theory has been implemented (DEMAND & SUPPLY).  Just realize it and answer will be in front of you. (One good news- still 3000 Vehicles  are waiting to deliver in the Chittagong Port).

Internship for DIU Student / How to write an Internship Report?
« on: August 08, 2010, 05:48:00 PM »
Internship Report
If you are registered for internship, you are required to submit a report on your internship project to your faculty supervisor by the end of the semester. The report consists of two parts: (a) the organization part and (b) the project part. The organization part carries 25% weight of your grade, while the project part carries 75% of the weight. The report should be written in a professional manner. It should be double-spaced and typed in a good quality paper. It needs to be bound by a hard cover with your name and I.D. number on the cover page. There is no minimum or maximum length of the report. However, the typical size of an internship report is 50 pages. You must keep a copy of your report for your own use because the report you submit to your instructor will not be returned within a year.

Internship Proposal
Before you begin work on the Project Part, you must obtain approval of your Project Proposal from your faculty supervisor. The Project Proposal is an outline of your plan of action for the internship project. Typically, the Project topic is assigned by the organization. However, if the organization does not give you a research topic or ask you to do some work which do not involve research, you have to choose your own topic for research in consultation with your faculty supervisor. Please remember that an Internship Proposal is required for the Project Part only and should include the following:

1. Introduction: Briefly describe what your internship project is about

2. Objectives: Describe what goals you would like to accomplish through your research. Do not write the objectives of doing internship. Write the objectives of your doing the study. You should explain why you have undertaken this project and what results you would expect from your study. The objectives should focus on things you would like to examine and text by collecting and analyzing your data.

3. Significance of the Study: Discuss why the topic you have chosen is important. Explain its importance to employers, employees, management practitioners, other stakeholders, and the society at large.

4. Methodology: In this section you should describe the data (primary/secondary) and the variables (dependent/independent, continuous/categorical), data collection methods (telephone interview, personal interview, mailed questionnaire, structured/unstructured questionnaire, published statistics), data analysis techniques (graphical presentation, frequency, percentage, cross tabs, chi-square analysis, ANOVA correlation, regression, etc), data presentation techniques, and format of the report.

5. Limitations of the Study

Internship for DIU Student / What is Internship:
« on: August 08, 2010, 05:44:56 PM »
Internship is an agreement between a university and an organization that offers an opportunity for a student to undertake a temporary work assignment in the organization which enables him/her to have a realistic exposure to job and organizational conditions. It is called an “earn while you learn” program of training. It helps a student bridge up the gap between classroom learning and actual job conditions. Eventually, internship prepares a student for a prospective job. Since internship is defined as a full load of work for one semester, a student is not usually allowed to register for a regular course while doing internship.
