I start from a story that I took a course of Mrs. Fariha Tasnim about three semesters before. She had made a rule in the class that nobody allows in the class room without ID card. After the next class about 10-15 students did not carry ID card. So, Madam said them to leave the class. Those students escaped the class but some moments later they returned with ID card. Madam asked them were from, they collected their ID cards. Those students were laughing and replied that they collected their ID cards from their friends who were sitting on the counseling room or here there. Madam accepted them in the class that day. After that day, all the students carried ID card and completed that course with carrying ID cards.
All the top ranking university’s students carry ID card, and the authority forces them to do it like Mrs. Fariha Tasnim. I know some university whose students have to carry ID card. These universities are A.I.U.B, ASA, N.S.U, B.U, etc.
It is nothing but the reflection of our identity. When students go to University from the house, most the people take at glance at student’s id card. It’s our nature if we see any id card, we try to read it. So, I just want to say, isn’t it the good advertisement of our university?
Sometimes, I have seen in our university that our authority tried to establish a rule to carry student’s ID card. The security guard standing beside the lift, said to the student to hang on their ID card. However, our authority failed to make to establish this system.
As I can see, in our examination hall, nobody allows in the class room without ID card. Please establish it all the class.
I advise to the authority through Head of the Department and the entire concern person, please suggest all the teacher’s not to allow any single students allowed in the class room without ID card.

Well said Ashiq. I do believe that if our authority can implement the rule to hand ID card in the exam hall successfully, they can also implement this in our regular class as well. So, I am requesting through this forum to implement the rule strictly in the class room.

We always want to see our students sincere, disciplined and successful.Its time for the students to learn norms, sincereity,discipline and puncuality And we wnat our students to wear ID cards not for advertising but for their discipline, puncuality and sincerity.
We notified several times to wear ID cards and I think most of the students carry their cards. And yes in future we will make it imperative for the betterment of the students as well as the university.

Thanks for good realization. We always try to obey the rules & regulations of our university but few students do not hang the ID cards. In future we will be more strict in this regard.

I think no student should be permitted in the class without hanging ID card, even in the campus. If it is regulated a few days obviously everybody will be serious, as well as habitual.

Thanks to all for their posts in the forum. We, the people, forget the past. In our School life, if anyone forgot to wear school-dress, he or she was not allowed to attend the assemble, to attend the class was a far away words. Actually it is a discipline to make our life disciplined. I can't understand why we will force the students to wear Id cards. Its our duty to show our identity in every aspect of life. Thanks to All.

Dear all,there is already a notice to wear ID card and at the entrance point, in the class room exam hall, no one is considered without wearing the ID card. its mandatory not only for the students but also for the officials as well.This rule is strictly being maintained .To our beloved students its a request to you all to wear the ID card.It creates an impression at the same time its an identification of the person. so for the sake of your safety you should wear this. Those who are used to wear ID card please inspire your friend circle to do so it will become a habit to you.One more thing renew your ID card if it is expired or if you have changed your department.

How to recollect your lost ID cards:
1. Deposit compensation money of 200/- to the Accounts
2. Come to the Counseling Section of DIU with the money receipt, 1 copy pf recent photograph.
3. Collect & Properly Fill up the form provided by the authority.
4. Submit the form to them. Counseling Section will inform you when to collect your desired ID card.

As I listened from my friend, If I lose my ID card, I have to go to Police station and complain them about my ID card. After I will be allowed to get new ID card.

Today One of our faculty members said to us in the class " Nobody will allow without ID card in the class from the next class" and also said " we, the faculty members have taken this decision and strictly follow from tomorrow" . So, Thank you faculty members and authorities took these kinds of step. I am very happy because authority would implement the rule that " NOBODY WILL ALLOW WITHOUT ID CARD IN THE CLASS ROOM"..

Hope the decision will keep continue strictly for all the students. When every students will wear the ID card at least during the university time then it will create a good environment. I think every students should follow the rules of university and if all our faculty members come forward to implement this rules in the class room strictly, students will be habitual to hand their ID card properly. Thank You Ms. Bidhita apu add a new word. But our authority should start from our classroom because we are not habituated. I do not know how far they will go. If the faculty members loose it, we might go to our previous situation.
I can give a suggestion that, as our faculty members agree not to allow any student without ID card, so, if our authority frequently visits to the classroom and can see the classroom situation, I think it will be very effective for everyone to hang ID card. Authority should think about it. Decision making is very easy but implementation is hard to do.

I always respect our faculty member, I always respect my senior, I always respect my Junior from my childhood. Our university has a rule that every faculty member must wear ID card, and as I always see they always obey this rule. So, I did not mention anywhere on my comment that faculty members would not enter class room without ID card. Anyway, I always against those students who do not carry ID cards on his shoulder. Anyone can say me {"NOBODY" means what?} I want to say her or him that I mention my friends/Students. I did not mention our honorable faculty members.

We the employees feel worthy hanging DIU's ID Card round the neck. Its carry value for us. I think there is no students at DIU who feel that this card degrades him/her. Who could do better in future without self esteem?
Its also a symbol of togetherness, symbol of brotherhood. If the reason to hide ID cards is only carelessness, the students must feel that they should improve. If the reason is forgetfulness, i premise they will recover it soon. If the reason is that they feel nuisance, i have nothing to say them. In near future life itself could be nuisance for them.
Come, hang our ID cards and be identical while we are in the campus.

I completely agree with your opinion. It is very high time to maintain DIU rules and regulations. I earnestly request to all the students, teachers, and officers to hang their ID card and recognize yourself that you are a proud member of DIU.

All the time authority notifying the students to hang ID card otherwise students without having ID card would not be allowed to enter the campus but most of the students are not showing any respect about the notice. Still they are not hanging ID card while they are entering in the campus. I think, it could be better if a checking system start while they are entering in the lift or going up stair though stair. I am saying about some top rated universities without mentioning name that they check students' ID while they are entering in the university; even they also check before entering in the faculty room, cafeteria, library and lab. Isn't it possible to start checking at least while students are entering in the university? Because we can see that their are some students in the university they don't carry any bag, book, also not attend in the class or exam but they are staying whole the time in the university and giving lead in every stages. Are their no rules for them? I think our authority have to be strict to implement the rules otherwise it is really difficult to recognize others.

I am now at universtiy. Today I forgot to hung the ID card on my shoulder, our security guard remined me to hung ID card. I hope, when I enter my class room today all of my friends carry their ID cards on their shoulder.

It is matter of sorrow that day by day again the strictness of wearing ID card is losing down. Security guards are doing their jobs well but some students don’t care about them. So they are easily entering in the campus without ID card. I think in this case to prevent without ID card/outsider, if security guards' get power not to allow any students without ID card it will a better way. In many universities their security guards have power to do this job. No ID card No Entry.

I do agree Mr. Debashish. I am also observing it. On Tuesday, one of our security guards told us "Please hung ID card", I appreciate it. But It is a matter of sorrow that he did not hang ID card. On Wednesday, Mr. Mahabub Parvez sir, wore ID card and come to our class and told us " I hung ID card, so you must wear ID card, otherwise I will not give you attendance." He always obeys the rules. Why does not other faculty member's do like him???????? It may be possible other faculty member's may obey the rules. What about others? Today, some of our friends did not wear ID card, when our respected faculty member started of giving the attendance, I remind her that our student did not wear ID card.
We always learn from our teacher. If they do not obey the university's rule, Why will we obey the university's rules?

You are absolutely right. Strictness has fallen down within one weak. Lots of people are stay inside of DIU campus without ID card…………….!
Teachers may giving attendance and allow class room without checking ID card. Most of the time security guards are failed to prevent students.
Authority should give power to security guards to restrict people whose are not DIU students or faculty member. And teachers also not allow students in class room without ID card.
For outsider or guests have to arrange to write down their name, address, where they want to go, cell phone number in guard’s book.
It’s time to see the next step by authority………success or…!

Thank you very much Ashiq and Limon. You also observed this matter. Why authority is failure every time to implement these rules strictly? Authority have to be more and more strict in this matter. If we can make sure more use of our ID card then it will become more and more valuable to the students and they will realize the value of ID card. To prevent without wearing ID card security guards can play a vital role. If they get power for not to allow any students without ID card, hope it will be the easiest way to prevent them. In that case security guards have to be more strict for not to allow any students without ID card.
Mr. Limon also gave a nice idea that for outsiders or guests, they have to write down their name, address, where they would like to go, reason to go, cell phone number, in guard's book.
We all wants our authority will give more focus in this issue.

Yes Limon great idea. It may implement our authority. However, I think, one problem may occur that is Prince Restaurant will not allow it because if our authority tries to implement it, "Prince Restaurant" will make the barrier because they have bought top floor of "Prince Plaza". ???

Proper facilities like supply of water, generator (as electricity is a national problem), Lift (we're now using three lift), Library (we've also possessed virtual/digital library), waiver system (we're giving a lot in this regard); 4. Canteen (within few days you will get a wonderful canteen); etc. But do you ever think for a moment what do we want from you. Students can easily meet the demand of ours. Just follow the rules & regulation of our university in every aspect. Please wear/hang Id card, the identity of yours. Still a very few students are NOT keeping their Id cards at display. You should not carry Id. card in pockets, you have to wear your id card. Dear students, those who don't have ribbons get them from the office very soon. Wear your ID and be proud of your university..........

Every student should hang their ID cards because it bears his identity,it is one of the most important moral responsibility of the students.Why the authority will take initiative steps regarding hanging the ID cards?I remember when I was a student I feel proud to hang the ID Card.
I belive that from now they will realize the importance of their own ID cards and will show their moral responsibility by hanging ID cards.

ya this is true.authority should give some more effort on it..and should not allow at any place.like when a student want to park a motorcycle or a car at the garage he/she need to have a id card it was a rule in previous semester but in this semester i am not seeing this rule.it is very sad for a authority like daffodil.

You are right. AS you know, five fingers are not equal. So, If four people want to carry their ID card, one person does not want to carry ID card. It is the rules which make our creator. We are cooperative so, we raise this issue on the forum.

There is rule but a matter of sorrow that we are neglecting that rule. DIU authorities even put stickers that encourage students to wear ID with pride. But we have got information that some students not only neglecting the stickers but also tearing those apart.

Students are much aware about hanging ID Cards. Today, I have found all of the staffs are saying plz wear your ID card and if you don't have plz go and meet to the department head. Most of the students hang their ID card except some.

Actually i am glad to see that you mentioned a very important factor.You suggested that teachers should not allow students in the class who don't hang thier ID cards.It's good idea but actually it is involved with students' responsibility.So i think we should maintain our responsibility.If we maintain this rule then no outsider person can enter in our campus and that will be better for authority to identify who is he/she without ID card.

Authority of Daffodil International University is asking the same thing to students from the beginning. I don't know why a lot of the students still don't get the point that this whole action is for their own benefit...
Just carrying the ID with us will not help us. We should display it by wearing it and only then our purpose (which is to protect the students from any kind of harm caused by outsiders) will be fulfilled.

While visiting different campuses, I found most of the general students are with their ID cards around their necks. Yet, there are a few arrogant students who are very reluctant to wear ID and prone to commit altercation with the security guards to defy the rule. I just request them to follow the regulation of the university to which they are belonged.
The concerned officials are requested to collect and send to the Registrar Office the Name, Department & ID of the particular supercilious student, who found defying this rule of wearing ID card inside campuses.
I believe, no students wish to face the music by coming under the gallows of defying rules.

Today I was surprised to see, at 8.15 am when I entered into the lift of our Price Plaza campus at ground floor without wearing ID card, One of our security guard stopped the lift and said to me, you will not allow to enter into the university without wearing ID card. Please wear your ID card first and then lift will start.

Students should be made feel that without ID cards their status is more or less like an outsider while all his/her fellow classmates are using ID cards. An outsider doesn't belong to a group. In the same way, a student without an ID card cannot claim his strong position as a student of Daffodil International University.

Our security guard doesn't say us to hang on ID card after Eid Vacation. As a result, we almost forget to hang on our Id card. After Eid vacation, a very few students hang their ID cards at university campus(BBA department).

Authority always tries to implement the rule strictly but it is matter of sorrow that the strictness of wearing ID card falling down. Students don’t obey the rules properly. Some security guards strictly ask to wear ID card and some security guards don’t ask to wear ID card.

From Today the Authority will strictly look after this issue and make sure that All STUDENT, OFFICIAL and TEACHER wear their ID CARD properly. Security Guard of all Campus are Instructed to Implement the Checking very actively. Those who have read this post, Please inform your friends, class mates, colleagues to wear ID Card. If anyone found without ID Card, action will be taken as deemed appropriate.

Its nice to see that some of you do realize the significance of wearing ID cards.It is definitely an aspect of your personality-are you someone disciplined or not,are you someone smart or not.I think it is not only a part of sincerity but also a sort of advertisement.And there is no harm of advertising your own university.I live near DIU.And when I notice students wearing ID cards when they are walking,talking or crossing roads,I do have a very nice feeling.It can not be expressed in words.I just feel-we are huge in number,we are strong,we are secured...

if our teachers do not give the attendance of class who have not ID card. I beleave that, for that all student will wear their Id card.

It is a good suggestion but it is really upsetting to see that students still are not serious about their ID cards.

Some teachers don't allow students in the class without hang their ID card, whatever it is damaged or lost. A student must have to wear ID card when s/he is in the campus. It’s our (students) duty to wear ID card.

It is good some teachers are keeping pace with the university rule. We salute them.
Publish the names (over phone/ through message/ face to face) of those Teachers who allow students in the class without ID card. (or seem to be reluctant to insist students to wear ID card).
All the teachers are told from the Registrar Office not to allow any student in the class without ID card.

I think, at first our faculty members should take steps in the classes to carry ID card. If the faculty members don't allow in the classes without ID card, then they are bound to carry it. Secondly, main entrance of University Campus will be very strict about ID card.

Very impressed..!! For present initiative about using ID card. Today all of our teachers were very sincere about ID card. They declared no one will allow in class room without ID card. This is the very good strategy to maintain discipline.
In this victory month I want to say all that “there is no law no independent’.

It has been instructed from top most authority that if any one found without bearing /hanging ID Card, his/her waiver/scholarship will be cancelled for entire study period and s/he will not be able to apply again.So please be sincere about the matter ie do wear your DIU ID card when u r in DIU area.DIU wants to see all of us wearing HER Id card.Your full support can make it successful.

i know a student of AIUB.He wear his university ID card when he go out for university from home.But our few students donot have ID card on only campus. It is s very bad habit.Wearing ID card must be maintained in our university.It can improve our university image in our country.So i request them who are wearing ID on university to continue this thing in future and also request them who are not wearing ID on university, Please wear the ID card if you love our university.

Please motivate the students who are without ID card. If they seem reluctant despite repeated notification, just send their IDs to my mail personally. Authority will look after them.

Our maximum student wear their ID card.Some student miss that also.But in our today's class had not any student who had not their ID card. it is very good news for us.I request all studenys who donot wear their Id card,Because wear your ID card . it can increse our university image.

We need some more time to get 100% success. Yes, some students are yet to be habituated to wearing ID card. We are trying. Faculty members and Administrative section have already come into being of wearing ID card. We still lacks some discipline among the students.

Authority is very determined to make is a 100% success by the beginning of the next semester. This discipline would enhance our standard a lot. We will not compromise.

As a student of DIU, I now feel so proud when I found myself having the ID of DIU. ID reflects a students potentials what he can do for his beloved institution, As per I concern, I'm writing now that students of the university are now very much sincere to the fact of having the ID card inside & outside the campus.I personally experienced the change among the students which is the success of our combining efforts.
I'm very thankful to the authority, faculties & students.....without whom this wouldn't be a milestone for us.
Now we feel proud, we feel encouraged......because DIU is now one of the most successful institutions from other universities/institutions.

The present DIU student ID card is very much standard. However, DIU students will have more attractive ID cards very soon. DIU have already taken steps in this regards so that DIU students can proudly display their ID cards. DIU is also inviting students to submit their ideas on the design of the new ID card.

I am regularly encouraging and advising my dear students to wear ID card not only in the class room but also while they are in campus.I am counseling them to wear the card outside the campus also because viewing a student wearing this card will boost up the image of our beloved university.
Now, the students are also very serious and sincere about it.
