Most of the students come to our university with informal dress .But most of the reputed universities students come in their university with formal dress otherwise they can never enter to their campus.DIU also reputed listed university in Bangladesh ,so we should accustomed to the formal dress because it will help our academic and also professional life.

Yes Mr. Bhuiyan if such a system can be operated then our university’s look completely will changed. Good thinking but I think it will take time.

Dear all,
* Al Mamun and Rabeya
First of all we have to make clear the issue , what we think about formal dress? Is there any specific definition of "formal dress"? Does it support our culture and weather?
I personally suggest students to wear some thing that is comfortable for themselves (physically) and for others (mentally). The point is, if you wear something that is not comfortable for others and not support our culture than there is no point of discussion. Even though every one have their right to choose the cloth that best fit for him or her.

Dear friend ,
you may be right because after our graduation we face job market then we have to conscious about our dress up. But dress up depends on personal chose .
-
I strongly respect your thinking Sir. As we are living in Bangladesh then of course it contains our culture. Formal dress is important for professional life and if a student can make own self habituated with it then it would be helpful. In this point of view I make my comment………
-
I don't think it is mandatory or needfull. I want to capture authorities attraction to implement the ID CARD BEARING SYSTEM strictly to the students. I think it is preferably OK..............................
-
i mind that a male student may be two or more formal shirt, pant ,shoe and every day shape needed & female student nice dress which our culture suitable.
you fit is all fit

I think, Formal dress is not main focus of our Universities Authority. Such as DU and other good Universities does not follow formal drees. So, it is not mandatory matter.
-
some thing that is comfortable for themselves (physically) and for others (mentally)
i do agree with you sir :)

Mr. Mamun please don't take it seriously, take it positively !!! You said " every reputed university wear formal dress" very well, you are saying.... we know reputed university of BD are DU (IBA) ,NSU, EWU, IUB, AIUB, BRAC, UIU, DIU & etc...........Please Mr. Mamun visit those university & observe those university's student who wear formal dress or casual dress???? I think without presentation & special case no student wear formal dress.......Please take it positively.........
-
I appreciated Lincon, because he is quite right, we need formal dresses but when you are in the class you wear the dresses which you feel comfort, i think when we are at the last semesters of our graduation then we should practice to wear formal shirt instead of t-shirt, because it will help you when you are in professional life.
-
I think that Formal dress has allowed some a few National University . & the most of private & public university does not support the formal dress !
I also think that formal dress is a effective issue but it should not be applied without presentation !! otherwise it is disgusting wear for Dhaka city public specially as a student .

I think formal dress is very lookrative & executive dress but it will be only professional life !! Student life is a fashionable time. Formal dress we'll wear presentation time. So formal dress we wear professional life!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
-
Teachers can guide students in the class room to wear formal dress or suitable dress with environment.
-
Wearing formal dress has some benefits but it might not comfortable for students all time. Only at the time of presentation students must wear formal dress and i should be mandatory for all students. But for personal development some times students can were formal dress.
-
I think it should be sober rather than Formal all time.In BD for gents Formal dress means Full sleeve Shirt and Black Pant and for Girls three pieces and to some extent Saree.I think as the students spend a long time in the university so they should wear something which is comfortable, modern and sober at same time.Formal dress may be for the Presentation ,interview board, viva board.I do agree with Mr. Siddique it should be comfortable both physically for the person and mentally for others. The main thing is selecting the dress ( Color, design ,Size, fashion ) and the way u r putting the dress on you.The same dress may look different depending on the way of putting on.It is not true that only costly dresses are always good to see, u may buy a dress with a moderate price which may look far better than any costly dress.

I think its a very important question that why DIU student do not wear formal dress? If they wear formal dress and come to the university they looking very smart and its very helpful after complete the BBA. Because they going to a job sectors then this formal dress help them. They don't feel uneasy.
-
I think maximum students spending a long time in the university will prefer to wear Casual dress rather than Formal dress. They will be habituated if they wear it at the time of Presentation or Viva board. Why the ques of uneasiness will arise? In case of Job responsibilities it will be habituated normally.

A wide range of styles is seen amongst students in campus. Most students vote for ‘comfort’ in their list of priorities when it comes to choosing a material for this season. New and refreshing styles always tend to brighten up peoples days.

So it is time for us to accept fashionable thing but formal dress will hamper to accept it. Al Mamun thinks about formal dress after completing your student life and in starting your professional life.

I am completely agree with you. To wear formal dress is not bound on us. & it should not be. We should wear, what is suitable for us. But every student should have an ID card. In presentation we should have formal dress. If anyone likes to wear formal dress then that is his/her own choice.
Thank you Mr. Samiul Islam Lincon
