Our invitation card to the respectable authority figures would be like this-
"Sir,
It's our great pleasure to invite you on our upcoming 1st year celebration.
We will feature some eccentric programs which will make it the biggest student organized event in DIU history.
So, it would be our high honor and rejoice to have your illustrious presence on the event.

With a hope of having your auspicious arrival,
The students of 25th Batch,
BBA Program
DIU"

Dear Sir, I on behalf of the organizing management assure you that we'll INSHALLAH make sure that no one violates discipline at the day of the event. And if someone does we'll take hard measures against him/her. Again, thank you Sir for supporting us in every possible way.

I'm not eligible for rate the event or it would be my audacity to rate it but if I had the opportunity, I would have given it 4.5 out of 5... Because the management was quite well organized and the programs were crowd appealing as well as had a 'courage' to show the actual point of view of the students and thus to me the programs were a display of non-mediocre thoughts and true student attitudes more than that what originally they think. And the expense charged from the students were the least, because the number of arrangements the authority had appealed could have increased the amount. But as the authority had considered this problem they charged a little amount, so every1 could spend the event time tension free without being tensed about their financial aspects. But I think that the bus arrangements could have been a little better. But, to me it was quite immaterial stuff in front of the big positive aspects...... So, Viva la DIU...!

But I wonder how can 110 buses be acquisited in Manik mia avenue? I know it's a large and spacious road but can it be able hold all the buses simultaneously? Other than that, it is scheduled that volunteers will guide from Bismaail (dairy farm footover bridge place) to the destination. But, won't that be too long for volunteers to guide? I think the guiding should have been started from Jiraani (a place after savar cant.) or Nabinagar  because roads get a little confusing after that...

English Language Lab / Re: How can one be proficient in English?
« on: February 05, 2011, 08:16:57 PM »
Our respected teachers especially Shibli sir has illustrated every possible way to adapt english and actually there is nothing much to say after these valuable words. But although I'm too little to say or recommend anything to improvise the language, I'd try and like to add something else with it.
If one wishes to see anything on tv to learn english, that person should see the stuffs the person likes. Because this will enable him to learn more quickly and most importantly will help him to learn in his comfort level. When you see any DVD and wish to learn english from it, switch the subtitles option on. Because, it'll help you to see the dialogues what the actor is speaking. Read articles as much as you can. Start reading articles especially classical novels of classical authors like- jane austen, brönte sisters etc. because it'll help you to not only improve english but also will show you enigmatic and paradoxical human attributes which will enrich your personality. Most importantly, whenever you utter any sentence in bengali, translate it on your mind, so that you can improvise your approach. Last but not the least, Believe in the only OMNIPOTENT ONE and seek mercy from him and cordially request him to make your respective problems solved.
I'd like to thank you all and pls forgive me if I had said anything degenerated and audacious.

Telecom Forum / Re: "WARID" turned to "AIRTEL"!!!!!!!!!!
« on: February 05, 2011, 07:41:29 PM »
I can't understand the term "turned into"... So pls explain.
When Airtel finally was revealed, I thought that warid (dhabi group) had sold it's rights of doing business in BD to Airtel (Airtel india). But actually I was wrong. Airtel was behind of warid from the very beginning of warid bangladesh as they had bought warid's majority amount of shares when warid initiated a plan to build a network in BD. So actually warid was an indirect subsidiary of Airtel in bangladesh. Airtel could not built a network providing concern by its own name or by making a subsidiary brand like Aktel/Robi of axiata, because there were some complications or prohibitions against Airtel to do business in BD. Much like Coca-cola in India in early '80s. So, they had to buy the rights of limca. But they couldn't use their core brand name in it as the parental company.

Today we had a brief talk with our respectable Dean sir and we cordially invited him for our 1st year celebration party...
Since we (the organizing comitee) had a chat with a 25th batch student who is a class representative, we realized that many of the 25th batch students think that we've not taken formal permission from the authority and we're doing it by our own. So, I wanna make one thing clear that WE HAVE FORMALLY TAKEN PERMISSION FROM THE AUTHORITY AND WE HAVE A COPY OF IT WHICH HAS DIFFERENT RECOMMENDATIONS FROM THE AUTHORITY FIGURES, AND WE CAN SHOW THAT TOO... That's why I'm refering our today's brief conversation with dean sir.
Another thing recently came into light that is, many students haven't seen the posters we sticked on the walls adjoined with the elevators, because they have been asking the programs of the event. Now, could you people suggest us how else we could promote the event? And by the way, any 25th or other batch students can feel free to give us their opinion regarding the event thru any possible medium. Many have been thinking that we'll decline their proposals thus they're keeping their mouth shut, but actually we'll welcome it.

BBA Discussion Forum / Re: Solar power solution for FBE campus
« on: February 02, 2011, 12:00:52 AM »
Kibria, it's a good idea but not much convincing. Because, in our country we get sunlight for 6-7 months in an adequate manner for creating solar electricity but at other months sun could not even be seen specially in rainy seasons. Else than that, our FBE campus requires a huge amount of electricity and I think solar electricity won't be able to fully supply the amount of electricity what FBE building requires. You know, why NASA or other space investigating organizations of the world can't operate investigating missions on other planets else than mars? One of the core reasons is, lack of adequacy of solar power in those planets, since space missions mainly depend on solar energy for supply of electricity.

BBA Discussion Forum / Re: The Five Secrets of Making Social Media
« on: February 01, 2011, 11:36:18 PM »
Actually if you go for facebook's history, you'll see that only 3 friends of harvard university initiated the plan to be connected with their other friends. And their plan to be connected, later became a successful one and everyone adapt it. Surprisingly there are only 1700 employees that are moderating Facebook's 500 million user base! Now how could that be possible? Fb does allow people for membership when they become 13. And you'll see more than 60% of Fb users are from early teens to mid 20s... Now this age group tend to get more attracted to interactive and fun stuffs rather than other informative articles. And these interctive stuffs are more informal and brief, what this age group loves. So, the programmers don't need much information for creating any Fb software. Perhaps that's why you'll see no ads though 365 million people read articles on Wikipedia but people view this site infrequently, specially when they need any references. Where people visit Fb frequently to see whether someone had knocked at their address or they got any answer from their knock to others.

BBA Discussion Forum / Re: Slope in graphs
« on: February 01, 2011, 05:09:24 PM »
Slopes are quite important. Sometimes you need only one to determine your desired stuff and sometimes you need more than one. For example- when u need to determine equilibrium price and output thru the interaction between demand and supply, u need 2 slopes one to create D&D1 and second one is S&S1 which both will cross at R where OM shows supply and demand and OP shows price.

Thanks all you guys who have been showing support... But now we need to promote the event among our friends and peers who now had to change their section(s) due to new adds by senior batchmates. Since we keep in contact with them, we can easily tell and encourage them about the event.
ONLY your participation can make the event the BEST EVENT EVER TO BE ORGANIZED BY DIU STUDENTS, INSHALLAH. Thanks again.

I was asked to write something about it, which I promised but I forgot to make any comments, so I'm sorry to that person whom I've wronged. Now, talking about ODHUKHANA... I think the ODHUKHANA should comprise some space where simultaneously more than 3 persons will be able to perform ablution. Because, what happens is, latter has to wait until the first person finishes it. Now, since DIU has acquired the 3rd floor of prince plaza, I think the ODHUKHANA could be built near the wash room of the 3rd floor, so that the authority may not have to build the water circulation lineage somewhere else.
