May be January 24, 2012 will be the landmark for all the graduates (after 2nd Convocation) from DIU.

Hope fully this time 3rd Convocation will be taken place on schedule time.
So, the participants, be ready to attend the biggest Convocation ever for DIU. (more than 3000 participants)

Sports Zone / Re: INTER DEPARTMENT FOOTBALL TOURNAMENT

I enjoyed the final match between Textile Engineering dept. and BBA dept.
TE dept. played better football than BBA on that day. The result was 2-2 (full time). Enjoyed exciting tie-break (4-3).
Arif, the goal keeper of TE dept. brought the victory by scoring goal on sudden death, while BBA goal keeper missed to score.
Hope to see this type of Inter-departments football tournament at least once a year.

It was really a shocking news when I heard your father's death. I couldn't communicate with you on that day. Any one can die any moment.
May Allah give his soul eternal peace.
This is a nice post. It can help us realizing the importance of our parents in our life.
I agree with you on the matter that we should realize our parents blessings, contribution for us. We should try our level best to make them satisfied during their life time. We should always remember them & spread their good habit, qualities to every one.

Guidance for Job Market / Re: Career Fair

I agree with Mr. Debashish. CDC may take necessary steps for arranging career fair in our beloved University.
If it is possible to arrange Career Fair in DIU, students, graduates, job seeker will be benefited and it will add value for our DIU branding and promotion.
Students, graduates or job seeker can earn practical knowledge/idea about the quality demanded by the employers and job markets from a career fair. It may also help to keep connection with the corporate leaders.
Graduates from DIU also can measure the value of their earned certificates/degrees. It will help them to make ready for a suitable, challenging, dream fulfilling career.
Hope to see a career fair in our university.

Orientations / Employee (Administration) Orientation

After 7 months, from joining at DIU as an Assistant Officer, i attended employee orientation yesterday (12.10.2011).
It's a good initiative from the top management. There was 14 officers attended the program. Most of them were freshers.
Honorable Vice-Chancellor, Registrar, Director (F&A), Deputy Registrar, Sr. Assistant Director (IT), Sr. Assistant Director (Software), Assistant Registrar were present. They all tried to give us ideas about many different things. They briefly discussed--What should be our attitudes towards students and the faculty members, rules and regulations, maintenance of DIU assets, tools and techniques required for tasks related with IT and software, etc. It will help us to do our assigned tasks without doing any major mistakes.
Personally, I'll be benefited from yesterday's program. After joining here, I have to learn many things from my own interests. May be this type of initiative help the new comers to cope up with the organization in a very short time.

We all know that DIU is a digital university. Teaching evaluation is must for every students. Without completion of teaching evaluation, course/semester result of a student can't be published. Every students of DIU must fill it. Even now, some of the students failed to fill it. Students must be aware about it and fill it with in the given period of time.
It was made to measure the efficiency of teachers. How a teacher design his/her course, deliver lectures, identify the understanding level of the students, give practical/topic related examples, students participation on the lecture, etc all r needed to successfully complete a course.
