BBA Discussion Forum / Skills in English

Dear All,
English is the first language in the world. Without having proper knowledge in English, nowadays, it is very much difficult to get good job. Your CGPA does not matter, it is only required for apply in particular field. You have to prove yourself that you the person who deserve that post/position. You have to face written exam, viva and many other things according to organization’s policies. And you should remember that in the job market you have to compete with only DIU students but also there IBA, NSU, EWU, IUB,, AIUB,UIU, DU, RU, JU,KU and National University’s students. So, now yours duty to assess yourself what’s your position. Are you fit for the job market?
Always we plan that we do SPOKEN COURSE, we talk with friend circle in English, but we never introduce it. We are very much expert in planning but not in implementing. We are used sit in the Dhanmondi Lake, different shopping malls, Zia Uddan and very much expert in gossiping in Bangla, but we never think that we can gossip in English. Besides this, we can introduce talking in English in the class room inside the University. We should remember that practice make a man perfect. At the beginning may we face lot problems but after a certain time period we will success without any confusion.
So, my request to all the student of DIU please every day follow the following tips ..
1. Read any English book, news paper etc for 15 to 20 minutes and search the meaning of unknown word and write it down.
2. Write one or two page on any topic.
3. Listen different IELTS CDs, instate of song, 15 to 20 minutes.
4. Speak in English when you meet with friends and others.
I am sure that if anyone follows this then he/she can recognize his/ her position. Only the one hour can change his/ her patter. His vocabulary will enrich and he / she will enjoy many other benefits.

Dear all,
In modern time, job market becomes complicated day by day. The students always want to study in such subject which is very much demandable in the job Market. In this regard, Project Management is the most demandable subject in the job market. Only The Project Management Institution (PMI) offers Professional Degree on Project Management. In the outside of our country, many Universities offer this subject as a Major Subject.
However, our university offers this subject as a Functional Subject and the course is conducted by a qualified Project Management Professional (PMP). Moreover, in our country, there are only few PMP holders and luckily we have one PMP holders out of them. I think this is the great opportunity for DIU student.
My request to our Authority that if possible please introduce Project Management Course as a Major Subject. As a result the student of DIU will be benefited as well as our University can proudly say that “We offer Major in Project Managementâ€. And our University will be the first position among all the Universities in BD. I think it will uphold our university’s image to the outside. Also I suggest all students to take this subject. I believe that only the Course Project Management can change your-self in all respect. At last I would like to thanks my honorable Chairman Sir and all other who select a PMP holder for conducting this class.

Islam & Science / translation of Sura at-Tariq

In the Name of Allâh, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful.
Sura at-Tareq
1.
By the heaven, and At-Târiq (the night-comer, i.e. the bright star);
2.
And what will make you to know what At-Târiq (night-comer) is?
3.
(It is) the star of piercing brightness;
4.
There is no human being but has a protector over him (or her) (i.e. angels incharge of each human being guarding him, writing his good and bad deeds, etc.)[]
5.
So let man see from what he is created!
6.
He is created from a water gushing forth
7.
Proceeding from between the back-bone and the ribs,
8.
Verily, (Allâh) is Able to bring him back (to life)!
9.
The Day when all the secrets (deeds, prayers, fasting, etc.) will be examined (as to their truth).
10.
Then will (man) have no power, nor any helper.
11.
By the sky (having rain clouds) which gives rain, again and again.
12.
And the earth which splits (with the growth of trees and plants),
13.
Verily! This (the Qur'ân) is the Word that separates (the truth from falsehood, and commands strict legal laws for mankind to cut the roots of evil).
14.
And it is not a thing for amusement.
15.
Verily, they are but plotting a plot (against you O Muhammad (Peace be upon him)).
16.
And I (too) am planning a plan.
17.
So give a respite to the disbelievers. Deal you gently with them for a while.

Dear All,
Teacher is the most respectable person in the world after Parents. Parents bring us in the world and teachers make us as a perfect man. If the teachers do not teach us we do not able to learn anything. Even may be, we would not able to enter into the University. We cannot give back their single word’s value. Our Prophet (SM) said that if you made shoes by cutting your covering (skin), you could not payout their demand (Rin sod kora sabe na). But, it is a matter of sorrow that some our students comment on the teachers’ character! Even threat them. They don’t know who is teacher? They forget that by the guidance of a teacher they able to reach in this stage. Today on of my favorite teacher shares this with me and after hearing this I was astonished. What’s stupid!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Last of all, my request to our students, please, does not make such comment about your teacher. No matter who is your School teacher, college teacher, Home tutor or university teacher, whatever is it. Please Respect them.

Dear all,
This is a good pleasure for us that our university has started campus language day. Every Wednesday and Thursday are the Campus language day. our registrar sir also noticed all the students, teachers and other officials to enjoy these days. I think it is a good strategy to improve our English language skills. we know that "practice make a man perfect. But we forget this when come that day also some of our teacher did not follow it. However i believe that if we aware about the campus language day and our teachers' encourage us to talk, we would be able to up hold our university image to the inside as well as outside the country. And we will feel proud for our university. we would said that we are from DIU!. so, I request all the students and teachers as well as officials to enjoy our campus language day............................................................

we are the student of BBA Dept. (Major in Accounting) of DIU. Some of us want to become chartered Accountant but the problem is that the top level CA Firms like RRH, ACNABIN, A. Qusam do not want to take our CV for articleship. we don't where is our fault !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I think our dept. as well as CDC should come to help us.............................................
