Events of DIU / “Celebrate the Women’s Day 2015 – Make it Happen”

We are happy to inform you that PINC
​ (Professional Intellectual Networking Community)​ jointly with Daffodil International University (DIU) is going to organize an interactive session titled “Celebrate the Women’s Day 2015 – Make it Happen”. We are also going to recognize 5 distinguished women leaders of our country by giving “Award of Excellence in Women Leadership” for their outstanding performance as women leaders. The program is going to ​be ​held on March 8, 2015 at 3:00 pm. The Venue of the program is  Banquet Hall, Level 8, Startup ​Cafe, Sobahanbag, Dhaka.

Lutfar Rahman, Vice Chancellor, Daffodil International University ,Tapan Kanti Sarkar, President CTO Forum Bangladesh ,Dr. Suraiya Parveen, Professor & Former Chairperson, CSE, Dhaka University, Farhana A Rahman, CEO of UY system Limited  &Former Vice President will be present as the Special guest.

All around the world, International Women's Day represents an opportunity to celebrate the achievements of women while calling for greater equality.

Make It Happen is the 2015 theme for our internationalwomensday.com global hub, encouraging effective action for advancing and recognising women.

Each year International Women's Day (IWD) is celebrated on March 8. The first International Women's Day was held in 1911. Thousands of events occur to mark the economic, political and social achievements of women. Organisations, governments, charities, educational institutions, women's groups, corporations and the media celebrate the day.

Various organisations identify their own International Women's Day theme, specific to their local context and interests. Many charities, NGOs and Governments also adopt a relevant theme or campaign to mark the day. For example, organisations like the UN, Oxfam, Women for Women, Care International, Plan, World Association of Girl Guides & Girl Scouts (WAGGGS) and more - run exciting and powerful campaigns that raise awareness and encourage donations for good causes. The UN has been declaring an annual equality theme for many years.

Daffodil International University is going to observe the day. Updates are coming ..

সহ-শিক্ষামূলক কার্যক্রম

ড্যাফোডিল ইন্টারন্যাশনাল ইউনিভার্সিটি একটি আধুনিক ও যুগোপযোগী ডিজিটাল বিশ্ববিদ্যালয় ।  আশুলিয়ায় ৪০ একরেরও বেশি জমির উপর স্থায়ী ক্যাম্পাস নির্মানের মাধ্যমে আন্তর্জাতিক মানের শিক্ষা প্রদানের পাশাপাশি একুশ শতকের চ্যালঞ্জ মোকাবেলার জন্য ছাত্রছাত্রীদের প্রস্তুত করে তুলতে সকল প্রকার সুযোগ সুবিধা প্রদান করা হচ্ছে  । ড্যাফোডিল ইন্টারন্যাশনাল ইউনিভার্সিটি বিশ্বাস করে আন্তর্জাতিক প্রতিযোগীতায় টিকে থাকতে হলে ছাত্রছাত্রীদের শুধুমাত্র পুথিগত বিদ্যায় আবদ্ধ করে রাখলে চলবে না, তাদের গড়ে তুলতে হবে বাস্তব অভিজ্ঞতা এবং প্রায়োগিক শিক্ষা প্রদার মাধ্যমে ।

নিয়মিত কারিকুলাম শিক্ষার পাশাপাশি ছাত্রছাত্রীদের বিভিন্ন সামাজিক ও আত্ময়োন্নয়নমূলক সেমিনার, ওয়ার্কশপ ইত্যাদি কাজে যুক্ত করা হয় । শিক্ষার্থীদের বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের ভিতরে ও বাহিরে যাবতীয় সহযোগিতা প্রদানের লক্ষ্যে ড্যাফোডিল ইন্টারন্যাশনাল ইউনিভার্সিটিতে রয়েছে স্টুডেন্টস অ্যায়ফেয়ার্স । স্টুডেন্টস অ্যায়ফেয়ার্স বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের ছাত্রছাত্রীদের সাথে অবিভাবক, বন্ধু, সহযোগী বা গাইড হিসাবে সম্পর্ক তৈরির মাধ্যমে একটি সুন্দর জীবনের পথে হাত ধরে সফলতার দিকে নিয়ে যায় । ‘জিম সেন্টার’ সুবিধা প্রদানের মাধ্যমে ছাত্রছাত্রীদের যেমন সুস্থ শারীরিক স্বাস্থ নিশ্চিত করা হয় , ঠিক তেমনি সাইকো-সোসাল সাপোর্ট প্রদানের মাধ্যমে স্টুডেন্টস অ্যায়ফেয়ার্স বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের ছাত্রছাত্রীদের মানসিক স্বাস্থেরও যত্ন নিশ্চিত করে থাকে ।

সুস্থ সাংস্কৃতিক চর্চা যেমন অপরাধমূলক কর্মকান্ড থেকে তরুণ সমাজকে বিরত রাখে তেমনি বিশ্ব দরবারে আমাদের নিজস্বতাকে প্রতিষ্ঠা করে । এ লক্ষে ড্যাফোডিল ইন্টারন্যাশনাল ইউনিভার্সিটিতে রয়েছে ‘কালচারেল ক্লাব’ । ব্যবসায়ী বিভাগের ছাত্রছাত্রীদের প্রায়োগিক ব্যবসায়ী জ্ঞান চর্চার জন্য ‘ডি আই ইউ বিজনেস এন্ড এডুকেশন ক্লাব’ প্রতিনিয়ত আয়োজন করছে বিজনেস ডেভেলপমেন্ট প্রতিযোগিতা ও নানা ধরনের সেমিনার ।   

বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ে রয়েছে ডিপার্টমেন্ট ভিত্তিক ক্লাব , যেমন- রিয়েল এস্টেট ক্লাব, কম্পিউটার প্রোগ্রামিং ক্লাব, টেক্সটাইল ক্লাব, ইংলিশ লিটারেরি ক্লাব, ফুড এন্ড নিউট্রিশন ক্লাব, নেচার স্টাডি ক্লাব, ফার্মাসি ক্লাব, মুট কোর্ট, কমিউনিকেশন ক্লাব, হেলথ ক্লাব, সফটয়্যার ইঞ্জিনিয়ারিং ক্লাব, ক্রিয়েটিভ পার্ক । ডিপার্টমেন্ট ভিত্তিক সব ক্লাবগুলো তাদের ছাত্রছাত্রীদের প্র্যান্টিক্যাল জ্ঞান প্রদানের জন্য নানা ধরনের প্রতিযোগিতায় অংশগ্রহণ ও আয়োজন করে থাকে ।

ডি আই ইউ ডিবেটিং ক্লাব এ বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের ক্লাব গুলোর মধ্যে অন্যতম । একাধিক বার জাতীয় ও আন্ত বিশ্ববিদ্যালয় বিতর্ক প্রতিযোগিতায় চ্যাম্পিয়ন হয়ে প্রমান করেছে যুক্তির জগতে তাদের উজ্জল অবস্থান ।

বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের প্রতিটি ক্লাব একজন শিক্ষকের তত্বাবধানে ছাত্রছাত্রীদের দ্বারা পরিচালিত হয়। ছাত্রছাত্রীদের স্বক্রীয় অংশগ্রহণে ক্লাবগুলো পরিচালিত করার উদ্দেশ্য একটাই, তারা যেন নিজেদেরকে বিশ্ববিদ্যালয় থেকেই ভবিয়্যতের উদ্যোক্তা/লিডার হিসাবে নিজেদেরকে তৈরি করে নিতে পারে ।
