Bifrost is a small Linux distribution for USB media, flash disks etc. It's mainly targeted for production and infrastructure networking, routing/firwalling etc but it is also used in research and education. One of the overall design goals is to keep things simple and straightforward.

Vyatta manufactures an open source router/firewall/VPN product for Internet Protocol networks (IPv4 and IPv6). A free download of Vyatta has been available since March 2006. The system is a specialized Debian-based Linux distribution with networking applications such as Quagga, OpenVPN, and many others.
