I heard about the novel from our respected Dean Sir. When he told us the summary of the novel in our class from that moment I became a big fan of the novel.I wanted to read the book but I couldn't . I kept myself satisfied with reading the summary of the novel and watching the movie. This movie is really superb.....

Dear Razon,

The above statement is also true for me.

Your review and findings are very fact full. I hope you will continue......

Dream Within Dream

I am in a jungle and it is season of flower
The trees around me are new with their beauty
I move forward and enchanted
No song of bird, silence is all about covered
Leaves are in various shapes and colours
I am not afraid of touching, I touch, touch with pleasure
Green is my shadow; I found: I feel strange.

I am moving fast in the splendour
No path is there, no animal, no human
I am searching for whatever ‘life’
I fail and try, try and fail
I am tired in the glamour,
hungry and thirsty too.
I want to hear something
I need to talk to someone
I am drowsy or sleepy-
****

What they are doing,
so amazing,
oh they are flying two men
Dedaelus and his child
‘Hi Dedaelus, you are so popular’
‘Hmm, now escaping’
‘Nice wings, where are you going? ’
‘Aether has a great love for you,
you can fly without such a things’
‘Icarus is flying towards the sun’
‘He is excited, I have warned him’
‘Ah zeus! He is in such high,
He’ll be fallen into the sea, do something’
‘It is not in my control’
‘Icarus…’

Dear Umme Kulsum Madam,

Dear Kamrul,

The very first stanza...ends with a question but missing a punctuation(?)

The whole Second stanza is without any punctuation and i think it matters more in poetry!

And the last line, is it correct" what do you prayer?"?

I have tried to write expressions, probably i emphasis more on semantic than to make sentences. You may observe I have used a few of punctuations. Firstly, in the first stanza, i have used a comma to separate expression to expression. Then there are no punctuation till last line of the poem. A comma, a long pause, and a question mark are the three more punctuations i have put there. Again, comma for the separation, questin mark for achieving emphasis. I really appreciate your such observation, I put "..." amid "What do you ... prayer?"

Once again Thank you mam. I think yr = your.

Dear Shah Al Mamun Brother,

Nice effort indeed....
I tried to omit punctuation deliberately, bro.
Thanks for joining me here.

Dear Rasel Sir,

Summary can help to understand a meaning of a poem, where as a poem can have multiple meanings. I think you will agree with me that most of the poems of last 2 and half century of any language have various sort of understanding. Therefore to summarize a poem is to minimize a poem. However, I appreciate your opinion; even you can provide a brief of your understanding.

Dear Shamsi Madam,

Thank you for your presence here. I really agree with you.

Dear Shamsi Madam,

The social life of European in the last century was full of Pessimism, Nihilism, Existential crisis (Sopenhauer, Nietzshe, Kierkegaard, and J P Sarte), absurdity, hopelessness, and so on. Literature of this Period had greatly depicted this social impact on personal life. T S Eliot, James Joyce, D H Lawrence, E M Forster, Samuel Beckett, A Camus, Franz Kafka and many others have illustrated the condition in their great works.

Our cultural life is greatly influenced by the European life, especially the literature of west. As I am belonging to the ongoing generation I am little but a part of this current.

I welcome your suggestion always.
Best wishes

Dear Asma Alam Madam,

I think you are to address Bidita instead of cmkhasan because of the poem is belonging to her. Am I right? However, the writing is well constructed.

An optimistic presentation of life is depicted here with rhythm. I really enjoy the poem much because my recent readings are full of pessimism, sorrowfulness, and, hardship of positive attitude towards life and ongoing events. I appreciate your writings.

« on: November 03, 2010, 02:05:07 AM »
Thank you Madam.

The abbreviations which you have provided for "speaking" purpose are nice, and can be used in informal situation. I think we should not use these abbreviation in the context of official and formal environment.

Abbreviations for "Text messaging" are really workable both in Mobile SMS and Internet Chatting media.

English / A Blank Page (a poem)
« on: October 23, 2010, 12:43:54 AM »
A blank page

What are you expected for
And what do you get
History of war, or a letter of love
Are you satisfied my blank sheet

What colours you do favour
What matters you do fond
A doctor can express the treatment of a patient
A grocer can keep his account
A sentence of death can be written

You can carry the news from unseen
You can bear the loving poem of a poet
You can be a certificate of one’s existence

A deed of peace may be arranged in you
Childish lines after lines in you may convey nothing
By having all the possibilities may be you remained blank
What do you desire, what do you ... prayer?
