5)Northwestern Polytechnical University (Ranks No.24 in China)

Northwestern Polytechnical University (also known as NPU or NWPU; Chinese: 西北工业大学; pinyin: Xīběi Gōngyè Dàxué) is a National Key University, directed by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of the People's Republic of China, located in Xi'an, Shaanxi, China. It is a Chinese Ministry of Education Class A Double First Class University and is a member of Project 985 and Project 211.

NPU specializes in education and research in the fields of aeronautical, astronautical and marine engineering. As of 2012, NPU had 13,736 graduate students (3,063 full-time doctorate candidates, 7,087 master candidates, 3,586 professional degree candidates) and 14,395 undergraduate students.SEU has been ranked among the top 20 research universities in China, and among the top 300 in the world. In the official subject ranking conducted by the Ministry of Education of China, SEU has been ranked top three nationally in 8 fields including architecture, landscape architecture, urban planning, art history, civil engineering, electronic engineering, transportation engineering and biomedical engineering.

6)East China University of Science and Technology (Ranks No.33 in China)

East China University of Science and Technology (simplified Chinese: 华东理工大学; traditional Chinese: 華東理工大學; pinyin: Huádōng Lǐgōng Dàxué, English acronym ECUST) is a research university located in Shanghai, China. Originally established with a focus on chemical technology, it has evolved into a comprehensive university that covers all academic disciplines and offers a large variety of majors. It is a Chinese Ministry of Education Double First Class Discipline University, with Double First Class status in certain disciplines. The school encompasses two campuses and a science park in the Xuhui, Fengxian and Jinshan districts of Shanghai.

7)Northeast Forestry University  (Ranks No.116 in China)

Northeast Forestry University (NEFU) was founded in 1952, under the direct administration of the Ministry of Education and National Forestry and Grassland Administration of China, and is entitled to enjoy support from the country's initiatives, such as "Project 211" and the Innovation Platform for Prioritized Academic Disciplines.

NEFU is in the list of "Double First-Class" University Project, whose connotation is the country's construction plan of world-class universities and first-class disciplines. NEFU is situated in Harbin, the center of the largest state-owned forest region in China. The main campus covers 136 hectares. NEFU also has two education, research and practice bases, the Mao'er Mountain Experimental Forest Farm (also known as Mao'er Mountain National Forest Park) and the Liangshui Experimental Forest Farm (Liangshui National Natural Reserve). 8)Shenyang University of Chemical Technology  (Ranks No.266 in China)

Shenyang University of Chemical Technology (SYUCT) is located at the National Shenyang Economical & Technological Development Zone. Characterized by chemical industry,SYUCT has developed into a multi-disciplinary university with its focus on engineering disciplines. SYUCT has disciplines covering diverse fields such as engineering, science, management, economics, humanities, law, education, medicine and art.

SYUCT is the first batch of bachelor's degree granting authority in China. It was founded in 1952 ,elevated to an undergraduate college and named Shenyang Institute of Chemical Technology in 1958, changed its name to Liaoning University of Science and Technology in 1960, and then changed back to Shenyang Institute of Chemical Technology in 1962. In 2010, it was renamed Shenyang University of Chemical Technology.SYUCT covers an area of almost 100 ha.. The campus blending academy, gardens and arts into one, is one of the most beautiful campuses in Liaoning Province of China.SYUCT currently offers 57 undergraduate programs, 13 primary and 53 secondary postgraduate programs. 9)Shenzhen University (Ranks No.107 in China)

Shenzhen University (SZU) is a full-time comprehensive university accredited by the State Council of the People’s Republic of China and is funded by Shenzhen local government. SZU was founded in 1983 and undertook its first enrollment the very same year at what Deng Xiaoping called "Shenzhen Speed".Located on the picturesque coastline of Shenzhen Bay in South China, SZU’s 1.44 square kilometer campus, which boasts its own lake, spreads across rolling hills covered with lichee trees, an abundance of green space and works of art.

SZU has drawn much attention from domestic and overseas political, academic and business circles since its foundation. Deng Xiao Ping gave his personal recommendation to the university and Jiang Zemin penned the university’s characters in his own hand. Over the course of its young life, the university has received the visit of distinguished heads of state, scientists, researchers as well as that of Nobel Prize winner in Physics Dr. Yang Zhenning. 10)Zhejiang University of Science and Technology (Ranks No. 296 in China)

Zhejiang University of Science and Technology (ZUST) is a multi-disciplinary university with an emphasis on engineering, and incorporating disciplines in science, arts, economics, management, and education. Combining the successful administrative experience of German universities of applied sciences with its own experience, ZUST explores ways of cultivating international talents with innovative spirits and strong skills. Zhejiang University of Science and Technology has two campuses. Xiaoheshan Campus is located in the historical and cultural city of Hangzhou, the capital of Zhejiang Province, which is one of the most prosperous provinces in China. Situated at the foot of Xiaohe Mountain, it has a tranquil lake on its campus and is surrounded by rolling hills; Anji Campus is situated in Anji County, which has won the United Nations’ Habitat Scroll of Honor Award. Currently, there are a total of more than 21,000 full-time students enrolled at ZUST. Among its 1300 or so faculty members, over 340 members have titles of professor and associate professor. It has 16 schools and offers 56 undergraduate programs and 11 English-taught postgraduate programs across a wide range of fields. Furthermore, ZUST has 3 state-level key majors, 9 provincial-level key majors, 3 provincial-level key labs and 8 provincial-level key disciplines.

11)Zhejiang Chinese Medical University (Ranks No. 220 in China)

Zhejiang Chinese Medical University (ZCMU) is a teaching and research-oriented university with traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) and Chinese materia medica as its leading subjects. As a provincial key university in Zhejiang, it is under the joint development by the Provincial Government of Zhejiang, the National Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine and the Ministry of Education.
Zhejiang Chinese Medical University is located near the south bank of Qiantang River, in the city of Hangzhou, a world-famous tourist resort known for its beautiful scenery and rich cultural heritage. Based on Zhejiang Training School of TCM, founded in 1953, Zhejiang College of TCM was officially established in 1959 and relocated at the present place in 2000. In February 2006, it was renamed as Zhejiang Chinese Medical University. In September 2015, Fuchun Campus was put into use. The university now has two campuses covering an area of nearly 1000 mu, the total construction area exceeds 470,000 square meters.

Chongqing Medical University (CQMU),founded in 1956, is a key university under the administration of Chongqing Municipal Government with an integrated educational system of Bachelor's, Master's, Doctor's and Postdoctoral programs in medicine as well as other related fields. It is one of the 30 or so medical universities in China which are approved by the Ministry of Education in China to enroll foreign students to study the English-medium MBBS (Bachelor of Medicine & Bachelor of Surgery) program. It is also listed among the Chinese medical universities in WHO’s official website and is recognized by ECFMG (Educational Committee for Foreign Medical Graduates) in the United States. Since 2001, it has been enrolling foreign students to study medicine. At present, 552 foreign students from 24 countries are pursuing their doctor dream in the university.

14)Jiaxing University  (Ranks No. 350 in China)

JXU offers 52 undergraduate (bachelor) programs for International students, covering 9 discipline categories, namely, science, engineering, literature, economics, management, laws, medicine, arts and education. 2 majors (Clinical Medicine and Accounting) are selected as national first-class undergraduate programs and 11 majors are selected as provincial first-class undergraduate programs. JXU has 11 national and provincial experimental teaching platforms as well.

Most undergraduate (bachelor) programs are taught in Chinese, while some English-medium undergraduate (bachelor) programs are also available. Graduates fulfilling all the degree and graduation requirements will be awarded the bachelor's degree and graduation certificate.

অস্ট্রেলিয়াতে টিউশন ফি -

এটা আসলে নির্ভর করে বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের মান, কোর্সের বিষয় ও মেয়াদের ওপরে। যেমন কোনো শিক্ষার্থী যদি অস্ট্রেলিয়ার প্রথম শ্রেণির বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়গুলোতে অনার্স পড়তে চায় তাহলে প্রতি ছয় মাসের সেমিস্টারে তাঁকে দিতে হবে ১৬ হাজার থেকে ২২ হাজার অস্ট্রেলীয় ডলারের মতো। মধ্যম শ্রেণির বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়গুলোতে এই খরচটা আসে মোটামুটি ১২ থেকে ১৬ হাজার অস্ট্রেলীয় ডলার।

ভিসা প্রসেসিংর সময় -
স্টুডেন্ট ভিসা প্রসেস হতে দেড় বা দুই মাসের মত সময় লাগতে পারে।

স্থায়ীভাবে বসবাসের সুযোগ -

যারা অস্ট্রেলিয়ায় পড়াশোনার জন্য যায় তাদের অধিকাংশ পড়া শেষে, সেখানে চাকরি নিয়ে স্থায়ীভাবে থেকে যেতে চান। অস্ট্রেলিয়ায় পার্মানেন্ট রেসিডেন্ট (পিআর) পাওয়া অন্যান্য দেশের তুলনায় সহজ। এটাকেও অস্ট্রেলিয়ায় পড়তে যাওয়ার প্রধান কারণ হিসেবে ধরা যেতে পারে।

Higher Education / যুক্তরাজ্যে উচ্চ শিক্ষার সুযোগ

পুরো পৃথিবীতে UK এর শিক্ষাব্যবস্থা প্রশংসনীয় এবং স্বীকৃত। বাংলাদেশের অনেক স্টুডেন্টদের স্বপ্নের দেশ এই UK । এখনকার দিনে ভিসা পাওয়ার রেশিও খুব ভাল। তবে UK তে পড়াশুনার জন্য আপনার তিনটা দিক খেয়াল রাখতে হবে প্রথমত, মোটামুটি ভাল রেজাল্ট দ্বিতীয়ত, আর্থিক সচ্ছলতা এবং তৃতীয়ত, মিনিমাম IELTS স্কোর তবে কিছু কিছু ক্ষেত্রে Medium of Instruction Certificate দিয়েও ভর্তির সুযোগ আছে। UK তে Masters প্রোগ্রাম গুলো সাধারণত ১ বছরের হয়ে থাকে। UK তে জানুয়ারি, মে এবং সেপ্টেম্বরে সেমিষ্টার শুরু হয়। ভিসার পেতে সাধারণত দুই থেকে তিন মাস সময় লাগে। কাজেই সেমিষ্টার শুরুর ৫-৬ মাসে আগে ভর্তির প্রক্রিয়া শুরু করতে হয়।  গ্রাজুয়েশনের পরে দুই বছরের Work Permit সহ থাকছে Permanent Residence এ আবেদনের সুযোগ।

স্কলারশিপের সুযোগঃ

ষ্টুডেন্টদের জন্য যোগ্যতার ভিত্তিতে রয়েছে বিভিন্ন স্কলারশিপ, ওয়েভার । কিছু কিছু ইউনিভার্সিটি এনট্রেন্স স্কলারশিপ, ভাইস চ্যান্সেলর স্ক্লারশিপ দিয়ে থাকে সেই ক্ষেত্রে যারা আগে ভর্তির আবেদন করে  তারা এই সূযোগ গুলো পেতে পারে। তাছাড়া ভর্তির পরে থাকছে সরকারি বেসরকারি বিভিন্ন স্কলারশিপে আবেদনের সুযোগ।

 আবেদনের যোগ্যতা সমূহঃ

১। একাডেমি রেজাল্ট মিনিমাম ৬০% মার্কস থাকতে হবে

Virtual Exchange Takes Students Abroad during Pandemic

For everything the COVID-19 pandemic took away from the global education community, it also gave U.S. students a few things in return. One of these unexpected benefits was a proliferation of gripping traveler stories. Another – and perhaps more important – benefit was the free time to share them.

Some of the best stories come from the immersive experiences of travelers. More than 100 U.S. Fulbright Program and Benjamin A. Gilman International Scholarship recipient travelers went into 2020 prepared to share tales of discovery abroad through Reach the World (RTW) virtual exchanges.

Within a few short weeks, however, the pandemic canceled study abroad programs, and U.S. colleges, universities and K-12 institutions began closing. What began as an opportunity to expand U.S. students’ worldviews quickly became a tale of quarantines, social distancing, and isolation. How do young learners in the United States explore the world alongside RTW travelers when they’re both stuck at home?

In a matter of days, RTW built a new website and completely revamped its programming to put travelers, educators, students, and families back in control of their global narratives. RTW rapidly developed a series of educator professional development livestreams to both train educators in using videoconferencing software and share evolving best practices from RTW’s innovative educator community. They threw open their archive of more than 300 published virtual exchanges, providing educators with as many resources as possible during the torturous transition to at-home learning.

At the same time, Fulbright and Gilman travelers who quarantined abroad became frontline reporters for how this global pandemic impacted learners big and small. They served as positive, personal examples of the need for travelers to adapt and learn from all experiences. They published weekly articles on our website and answered student questions through livestream events. Educators held watch parties on Google Classrooms and shared their students’ questions with travelers in real time. Additionally, many Fulbright and Gilman alumni volunteered to revisit their experiences abroad, giving teachers, students and families 18 open virtual exchanges in 18 countries to choose from.

RTW also launched the Show & Tell series, inviting former travelers, corporate volunteers, and partners from across RTW’s global community to tell a story from their journey or show a travel artifact during free 30-minute livestream events. Students got up close and personal with arctic polar bears, learned what it’s like to work in a U.S. embassy, walked with orangutans in Indonesia, and helped set up a camera trap in the Costa Rican rainforest. With Show & Tell events, learners had access to new, different global adventures every week.

As the country became more comfortable with online learning, RTW took the opportunity to collect and promote stories around several themes. During RTW’s STEM Week in early May, students tracked animals in Panama, journeyed to the bottom of the ocean with the NASA scientists leading the effort to find life on other planets, and explored Madagascar’s "Lost Forest." During Fulbright Week in late May, classes across the United States forged friendships with Fulbright Foreign Language Teaching Assistants in Kenya, the Philippines, and Morocco, all while learning more about those unique cultures. And during World Oceans Week in mid-June, members of the Explorers Club took learners with them to the Galapagos Islands, the resting site of the Titanic, and swimming with sperm whales off Dominica. Students learned about the importance of protecting our planet from climate change and asked questions like, "How can we protect sea turtles?" and "When doing underwater research, how do you minimize your impact on the environment?"

After more than 16 weeks of adapted COVID-19 programming, RTW’s global community had a lot to celebrate in June. Together, the RTW community traveled to all seven continents and more than 50 different countries. The 76 livestream events with explorers, travelers, educators, and partners had been viewed more than 8,800 times on YouTube. More than 30 Fulbright and Gilman travelers had shared personal stories of language, culture, traditions, and exploration. While most of the world stayed home, the stories of motivated volunteers inspired the next generation of global citizens without interruption.

A Whole New Level of Accessibility through Remote International Exchange

The recent pandemic has forced change on a massive scale. Almost overnight, colleges and workplaces did what many thought was unthinkable and transferred their work from the lecture hall, the conference room, the library, and the office to Zoom, Skype, Google Docs, or Microsoft 365. For people with disabilities, the transition has been both good and bad. This article will discuss what the transition has meant for the National Clearinghouse on Disability and Exchange (NCDE), what it has meant for access in the wider international education field, and how practitioners can make the long-term effects of the transition a net positive for all.

By mid-March, Mobility International USA (MIUSA) had moved all employees to remote work. Staff were instructed to take their work computers and other essentials home. The CFO made several deliveries of necessities like computer monitors and desk chairs. The organization purchased three Zoom business accounts – an upgrade to its previous Pro subscription.

As a blind person, I was astonished at how remote work opened up new ways for me to contribute. I conducted a few training sessions – first to onboard a new employee, and then to demonstrate to all staff how a screen reading program interacts with a website. I’m not very good with a pen, and if I had wanted to scribble out a couple examples of HTML markup on a board or discuss a list of ideas and actually be able to indicate an idea by pointing, I would have probably needed a coworker to help out or I would’ve had to depend on my audience being as good at audible learning as I am. Yet, when I wanted to do the HTML markup demonstration over Zoom, I simply shared my screen, opened a note, and started typing. To point at a piece of code, I simply highlighted the line. The virtual environment allowed me to interact with my coworkers in a new dimension that had never been an option before.

As a blind person, I was astonished at how remote work opened up new ways for me to contribute.

The virtual environment allowed me to interact with my coworkers in a new dimension that had never been an option before. The crisis also forced us to start thinking about different ways we might engage globally. International internships in language classes became available remotely. I wrote a blog about the ways people could stay globally engaged from home, such as reading literature, watching movies, or talking with international friends.

MIUSA staff observed how virtual exchanges expanded the scope of what we can do with the same resources. Our webinars have been better than ever, allowing us to reach individuals and professionals in places we would likely never visit in person. MIUSA counts 2,300 alumni around the world, with 250 from its Women’s Institute on Leadership and Disability (WILD). A group of staff, including CEO Susan Sygall, was able to get several cohorts of WILD alumni with different disabilities on a single Zoom call to catch up with each other and discuss the urgent needs in their communities around COVID-19. To facilitate communication access, the call included interpreters of American Sign Language and Spanish, along with Certified Deaf Interpreters, to interpret foreign sign languages and real-time captioning in Spanish and English for hard of hearing individuals who don’t use sign language. Sygall noted, "Hearing their dedication, leadership, and insightful recommendations for the COVID-19 pandemic only reinforced for me how critically important it is to recognize and partner with disabled women leaders globally, now more than ever."

The crisis also caused NCDE staff to develop and implement fresh opportunities for aspiring professionals to work with our project while building their résumés. Our first Access to Exchange Externship will allow five individuals across the United States the chance to promote international exchange in their communities. Projects cover a wide array of formats, including webinars, country guides, blogging, and individual advisement. NCDE is reaching out farther than ever before with its message of inclusion through infiltration in international exchange programs.

The transition to remote life was not all smooth. As an article from Inside Higher Ed reported, students with disabilities were being left out as colleges shifted to online classes. Mailing lists like DSSHE and the Association on Higher Education and Disability forum, which are dedicated to supporting practitioners in the disability service field in higher education, filled with chatter about how colleges were to react to the onslaught of faculty questions, accommodation requests, and complaints.

Colleges should ensure their domestic and international exchange offerings are accessible to students with disabilities, allowing the education experience to reach all students who want to participate to enhance the educational experience for all by making the unique viewpoints of students with disabilities available to their nondisabled peers. This also allows students with disabilities to contribute to the economic and social productivity of their communities, because access to employment increases the financial and mental well-being of individuals while enriching societies that can benefit from the taxation and consumerism of a wider base of workers.

As virtual exchange programs expand, they can learn a great deal from the experience of universities providing access to students with disabilities taking online courses. Despite some of the access issues, the virtual world offers a great deal of promise in offering barrier-free experiences. Consult with organizations like MIUSA, the National Deaf Center and your campus’s disability resource center on how to provide the best virtual exchange experiences for all.

It is Time for “New” Leadership in International Offices of the (Post-)COVID Era

Shortly after the World Health Organization declared the COVID-19 outbreak a pandemic on March 11, 2020, the Association of International Education Administrators (AIEA) launched a series of virtual town halls for practitioners and scholars of international higher education to address the effects of a drastically and quickly evolving post-secondary landscape. In addition to debating myriad administrative challenges precipitated by this crisis, Display footnote number:1 many senior international officers (SIOs) posed fundamental questions about leading their offices remotely and expressed concerns about the future viability of their programs.

This observation reveals two apparent weaknesses in U.S. postsecondary internationalization: 1) staff engagement, motivation, and role assignment and 2) a potential further erosion of often already tenuous administrative support for many institutions’ international initiatives. Most compellingly, both concerns are inextricably tied to leadership.

Facing a New Reality:

The internationalization landscape SIOs and their teams must now navigate has drastically changed since the emergence of the pandemic. Like other countries, U.S. higher education is grappling with the severe financial impact of lost revenue, Display footnote number:2 in addition to budget cuts, staff furloughs or layoffs, program closures, and reduced tuition and fees. Consequently, international office leaders are hard-pressed to assert the importance of global education to their stakeholders. At the same time, curtailed mobility due to health concerns, immigration issues, border closures, rising nationalism, and high unemployment that disproportionally affects college students have dealt a massive blow to many an institutions’ international initiatives.

As traditional mobility-focused programs fight to remain viable, the time of focusing on marketing our institutions to international students and external partners domestically and abroad while relying largely on quantitative metrics to justify these activities to institutional leaders may well have come to an end.

"New" Leadership for Campus Internationalization:

In theory, contemporary internationalization frameworks include curriculum integration, advocacy, communication, and relationships with on- and off-campus partners. In reality, however, many international officers and their teams have long found themselves preoccupied with mostly bureaucratic and administrative tasks like risk and crisis management, contingency planning, and budget oversight.

This somewhat skewed focus is evident in guidelines for internationalization leaders, such as NAFSA’s International Education Professional Competencies and AIEA’s Standards of Professional Practice,Display footnote number:3,4 in which student mobility, enrollment management, and international student and scholar services dominate over advocacy, student engagement, or (inter) personal skills and attributes reflected in the literature on higher education leadership.Display footnote number:5, 6, 7 I argue that embracing precisely those qualitative and relationship-oriented approaches may allow leaders to better respond to the current crises, redirect their focus back to their campuses, transcend disciplinary silos, and garner crucial buy-in and active participation across the entire campus community.Display footnote number:8

To meet today’s challenges, leaders may consider reflecting on and adopting the following recommendations to support a realignment of their initiatives:

1. Be a transformational leader.
Leverage your and your team’s diverse professional, cultural, and linguistic backgrounds to model the types of global skills, behaviors, and worldviews you wish to see in your graduates.

When leaders visibly exemplify desired educational outcomes, key stakeholders on campus will notice, learn to support those programs, and emulate the leaders.

2. Empower your team to take on leadership roles.

Train and trust all members of your team to represent your office and forge relationships with relevant stakeholders. Consider actively involving both domestic and international students in diffusing global thinking across campus. Direct these efforts, but allow for staff, students, and faculty to have agency in growing a dynamic international community of practice.

3. Guide instructional practices and curriculum integration.

Remember how you developed international awareness, knowledge, and skills. Leverage these experiences to help departments integrate global content into their curricula, and consider teaching a course or workshop on a topic of global relevance.

Leadership is, in its essence, about relationships. (See Endnote 7) And arguably no field in higher education presents the level of complexities and unique challenges that come with serving constituents from such a wide range of languages, cultures, and disciplines. Although the core competencies of campus internationalization leaders are not bound to change drastically, embracing relational aspects of leadership and distributing responsibilities may well serve to reassert the significance of our institutions’ international programs, ensure their survival, and provide our graduates with the knowledge, attitudes, and skills to solve increasingly complex global problems.

Making emotional relationships with the customers is essential for business / brand. Only emotional relationships can save the brand/ company during difficult times. This relationship can't be earned by money; only good Public Relationship strategy may pave the way.

For instance, Bangladeshi Brand PRAN-RFL group have taken an initiative to distribute food items among the vulnerable family during the pandemic. In this way they stood beside the Social Cause in order to make emotional relationships with the customers.

Another example is Bidyanondo Foundation in Bangladesh. They had taken an initiative to collect Zakat Donation (Zakat is the annual payment made by Muslims to support those most in need) to feed the vulnerable people. But consequently it became a controversial issue, because some Islamic minded people claimed that they couldn’t do so where the co-founder of this organization was from a separate religion. Their brand image was acutely affected by this dispute. This case indicates that the wrong step toward social cause or concern may badly impact brand image.
 
The company/ brand should take into consideration how they could integrate the brand with social causes through proper PR activities. The company may also use social buzz/ events to promote the brand. This is called the Rub-off effect that came from unusual marketing.  The precise example is Indian brand Amul always try to attach its promotional activities with social buzz, cause or event by creating attractive content (A song had launched dil battmiz dil battmiz, he customized and make a poster dil buttermiz)
However, the company should properly understand social causes to set strategy for making emotional relationships with the customers. Despite conventional marketing, they may take initiative to make awareness as well as educate customers. The company’s approach should be how can we serve you instead of how can I sell it.

Due to the COVID 19 pandemic all the educational institutions are passing most crisis moment.  But there is still some opportunities for internationalization and global engagement to lead the way. By following the ten steps universities may transform crisis into opportunities,
 
1.   Need joint effort of Faculties & Students Affairs to ensure the Internationalization of course curriculum.
2.   Public Health, Pharmacy, Biology, Nutrition & Food, communication, political science etc departments may position to contribute to related research to address the global impact on pandemic.
3.   Faculties and Research department may work together to identify potential grants and funding sources.
4.   Change the mentality of relaying on physical mobility as the be –all and end-all.
5.   Emphasize on virtual exchange.  In this case Collaborative Online International Learning (COIL) may part of international strategy.
6.   Provide multidimensional support to international students such as housing, visa, mental health etc.

COVID-19: Study Abroad Dilemma

Preamble:
We do not doubt that COVID 19 pandemic possibly one of the biggest global crisis of the century. But we believe that crisis will overcome as the globe is far advance in technology and education. In this notion many students are still motivated to pursue higher study in abroad where some are in dilemma. This article will demonstrate the higher study abroad problem in the point of view of students. At the same time we will discuss what action going to be taken against foreseeable problem as well as the opportunity.

Few problems
During the COVID 19’s pandemic all educational institutions around the world are locked-down and students are away from their study. Some countries and universities have already announced that current & upcoming semester will be held online. It’s considered as temporary solutions for students. But the question is that what general people are thinking about these temporary solutions? Many of them consider following points when they think about online programs,

•Long run point of view:  online program seems to be inadequate and far away than becoming a substitution of traditional education. Even some practical based courses couldn’t be conducted online for example architecture, lab, languages as well as travel programs. 
•Fees point of view:  online programs are not the real value of money as the students paid for an in-class education.

Most of the international students came back to their home countries without finishing their courses.  A part from this many students paid a huge amount of tuition fees and ready to fly. Moreover many students will take admission to carry out their study during the pandemic.  It is noted that they are much worried about following issues. 

•Internship & Work: Work and Travel remains uncertain for this year. Students are worried how they complete internship and how they get job after graduation if economic crisis arise.
•Visa Risks: After normalization of pandemic it seems that getting visa will be difficult due to health concern of particular countries. 
•Ready to fly:   Most of the students want to travel for purchasing higher study in abroad.  In this case they don’t appreciate online course

Solution to foreseeable problems: 
Majority of the sectors around the globe has been heavily suffered due to Covid-19 pandemic.  In this connection education sector is in high risk.  But it’s true that when there is a problem there is a solution. This higher education institution may take following step to solve the foreseeable problem,

•Special pricing for students who will enroll during the pandemic situation
•Should be more flexible about language issue and prerequisite issue. Instead of IELTS  or similar prerequisite university may think about own language or other test.
•The deadlines should be prolonged
•Offer some advantages such as scholarships, waiver etc.
•Credit transfers to other schools should be clearly defined and flexible
•Universities and should be in close relationship with the embassies and other governmental institutes to minimize the visa risks after COVID 19 pandemic.

Opportunity:
Crisis may transform into opportunity. As it seems clear, the number of international students will decrease dramatically. Considering the added value many universities will offer scholarships and other benefits to students. Many universities will be more flexible than before to take admission.  In the meanwhile some universities are offering low tuition fees so that student can carry out their study during this situation. So students should be  ready and prepare themselves to take the opportunity.

আমাদের চারপাশে ঘুরে বেড়াচ্ছে লক্ষকোটি ভাইরাস আর ব্যাকটেরিয়া। কতজন'ই বা এদের দ্বারা আক্রান্ত হয়? মূল কথা হল যাদের শরীরে রোগ প্রতিরোধ ক্ষমতা বা ইমিউনিটি বেশি তাদের আক্রান্ত হওয়ার সম্ভাবনাও কম। ভাইরাস কখন শরীরে ঢুকবে এই ভয়ে কুপোকাত না হয়ে নিজের ইমিউনিটি সিষ্টেম শক্তিশালী করতে হবে। ভিডামিন ডি (মাছ, ডিম, দুধ,সূর্যের আলো), ভিটামিন সি (কাচা মরিচ, পেয়ারা, গাঢ় সবুজ শাক/ সবজি, লেবু জাতীয় ফল, পেপে) এবং প্রটিন ( মাছ, মাংস, ডিম, দুধ বাদেও যে কোন ডাল, বাদাম এবং খাদ্যপযোগী বীজ) যুক্ত খাবার নিয়মিত খেতে হবে। প্রয়জনে ভিটামিন সাপ্লিমেন্ট খাওয়া যেতে পারে। প্রতিদিন ব্যায়াম ( হাটা-হাটি বা কায়িক পরিশ্রমও হতে পারে) করলে ফুসফুস ভাল থাকে এবং রোগ প্রতিরোধ ক্ষমতা বাড়ে। প্রচুর পানি পান করতে হবে।নিজে পরিষ্কার থাকতে হবে ও চারপাশ পরিছন্ন রাখতে হবে।


(২) ভাইরাস প্রতিরোধ মন চাঙা রাখা জরুরিঃ

ঘরের জানালায় অথবা বাড়ির বারান্দায় /ছাদে, ভোরে কিম্বা শেষ বিকেলে সময় কাটালে খোলা হাওয়া পাওয়া যাবে। খোলা হাওয়া মন ফুরফুরে ও চাঙা করে ।ভয়, মন খারাপ বা বিষন্নতাকে ছুড়ে ফেলতে হবে। কোভিড১৯ শে আক্রান্ত হওয়া মানে মরে যাওয়া নয়। এই রোগে মৃত্যুর হার মাত্র ২%। খুব চিন্তাগ্রস্ত বা আতংকিত হলে ফেসবুকে বা সোসাল মিডিয়ার খারাপ খবর পরিহার করতে হবে। মনে রাখতে হবে দুনিয়ার কোনো মহামারি বেশিদিন স্থায়ী হয় নি এটাও হবে না। আরেকটা কথা, অবশ্যই প্রয়োজনে মানুষকে সাহায্য করতে হবে। নিজে বাচলে বাপের নাম এই ধরণের মানুষিকতা মনবল ভেঙে দিয়ে আপনাকে যথেষ্ট ক্ষতি করতে পারে। নিয়মিত নামাজ বা ধর্মিয় উপাসনার মাধ্যমেও শরীর ও মন ভাল থাকে।

ঝড় যখন অতি প্রবল হয় তখন সে নিঃশেষ হয়ে যায়। এই মহামারী তিব্র হয়েছে। এখন হয়ত তার বিদায়ের সময় এসেছে। আমার বিস্বাস, আমাদের শরীর ও বসে নেই। প্রয়জন মত সেও এন্টিবডি তৈরির মাধ্যমে এই ভাইরাসকে প্রতিরোধ করবে। অথবা কে জানে হয়ত এই সমস্যা সমাধানের দ্বার প্রান্তে আমরা। বি পজেটিভ...

বোতল বন্দি দৈত্য করোনা ভাইরাস

অনেকটা বোতল বন্দি দৈত্যের মত এই করোনা ভাইরাস।বোতল থেকে ছাড়া পেয়ে পুরো পৃথিবী ভ্রমণে বেড়িয়েছে সে। কি প্রচন্ড তার গতি! চলার পথে যারা পড়ছে তদেরকেই নাস্তানাবুদ করাই তার কাজ । যেহেতু তাকে বোতলে ভরার কোনো ব্যবস্থা আপাতত নেই কাজেই তার চলার পথ থেকে নিজেকে সরিয়ে রাখতে হবে। এই দৈত্য অনেক শক্তিশালী হলেও সাবান পানির কাছে অসহায়। কাজেই ঘন ঘন সাবান পানি দিয়ে খুব ভাল করে হাত ধুতে হবে। আমরা ঘরের বাইরে বেরোলে সে কিন্তু অনায়াসে আক্রমন করতে পারে। সুতারং খুব জরুরি প্রয়োজন না হলে কিছুদিন বাইরে বের না হওয়া ভাল। যেহেতু সে বোতল বন্দি ছিল সেই জন্য বুঝা যাচ্ছে ইচ্ছামত নিজেকে বড় কিম্বা ছোট করার ক্ষমতা তার আছে। কাজেই বাইরে থেকে কোনো কিছু বাসায় আসলে সেগুলোতে ব্লিচিং পাউডার মিশ্রিত পানি ছিটাতে হবে। চোখ, নাক অথবা মুখ দিয়ে দৈত্যটি আমাদের শরীরে প্রবেশ করে। তাই অকারণে এই অঙ্গ গুলো স্পর্শ করে তাকে উত্তেজিত করা যাবে না। যারা পরিষ্কার পরিছন্ন থাকে তাদেরকে দৈত্যটি এরিয়ে চলে। সুতারং সব সময় পরিষ্কার থাকাটা জরুরি। আরেকটা কথা ভয় পেলে কিন্তু তাকে আবার বোতলে ভরা যাবে না। সে যতই বিশাল হোক মানুষের বুদ্ধির কাছে পরাজিত তাকে হতেই হবে। শুধুমাত্র সময়ের অপেক্ষা...
