Permanent Campus of DIU / Re: The dream of a permanent campus
« on: September 26, 2010, 10:40:44 AM »
Nice to know about new land and expansion of permanent campus but can’t ignore our present position, I would say wonderful strategic location or position with purchased buildings and lands including main campus, library building, more than 70% floor of prince plaza, Hostel building, independent building with land beside sunrise plaza( near Arong). Moreover Dhanmondi lake and Jatio Sangsaad Bhavan both side that can be utilized by our students nicely if we can build a community understanding at this central part of the city or the country. There is no other private university in Bangladesh can have it!

Last semester I enjoyed outing with some of our beloved student around the campus and many of them agreed with me to feel the present location as our permanent campus by discovering social ownership from Dhanmondi Lake to Chandrima Uddan.

Hope we will grow more and more near future but can love the present situation by exploring all possibilities.

10. Great Pacific Garbage Patch
Pacific Ocean

The Great Pacific Garbage Patch, also described as the Pacific Trash Vortex, is a gyre of marine litter in the central North Pacific Ocean located roughly between 135° to 155°W and 35° to 42°N. Most current estimates state that it is larger than the U.S. state of Texas, with some estimates claiming that it is larger than the continental United States, however the exact size is not known for sure. The Patch is characterized by exceptionally high concentrations of pelagic plastics, chemical sludge, and other debris that have been trapped by the currents of the North Pacific Gyre. The patch is not easily visible because it consists of very small pieces, almost invisible to the naked eye, most of its contents are suspended beneath the surface of the ocean. This is not a place the average Joe would want to visit.

I don't know why number of postings are 10  but places are unique no doubt.......Thanks Mr. Ansary.

If we have good communication skills, So I think we can adjust everywhere.

……and also can avoid miscommunications around us. Cost of miscommunication is really high in today’s life that causes of most of the peace breaking events.

If anyone interested to work on it please visit CDC sometime.

Do you know Mr. Papon who has come to our university? 1. New lecturer ( Who don't have any experience).

Thank you Limon.

I am really confused who can perform what! So far my experience with universities from Bangladesh to India and India to USA found that lot’s of young teachers (NT) cultivated my brain tremendously and reverses with so called seniors.

I don’t know what you people want actually but can rethink before posting against any NTs who are still unknown to you.

Let’s be developmental by accepting new people with new knowledge and skills those can help you meet 21st centuries challenges nicely.

Cheers,

Raju

To increase creativity, you need to do two things. First, you need to encourage it. Second, you need to train your brain. Start on both of these right now, and you can experience greater creativity today.

Encourage creativity and you'll increase creativity. This is true of most things you want to see more of in your life. Encouragement can work wonders. How do you encourage creativity, though?

First, by paying attention to it. Your subconscious mind tends to give you more of what you pay attention to. If you ignore the creative aspects of your life, you are telling your subconscious that they are unimportant. If you consciously note when you are creative, and you look for opportunities to be creative, your subconscious mind will start feeding you more creative ideas. Look for it and you'll find more of it.

Another way to encourage and increase creativity, is to write your ideas down. Keep an "idea journal." If you do this regularly, you'll notice that you often start having more ideas the moment you start to write. A so-so idea may normally be forgotten, but by writing it down, you may remember it, your subconscious works on it, and it can transform into something very creative.

You can also encourage greater creativity in yourself by putting creative ideas into practice. If you paint or write, for example, try anything new. Even just driving a different route to work to see if it is quicker can help. The point is to get you mind working outside of its regular patterns.

Just changing your surroundings can encourage creativity. If you want more creativity in your love life, go hike up a mountain with your partner. If you write, try sitting on a roof to write. If you need new ideas for your business, take a notebook to the park and sit by the duck pond. A change of environment can get your brain out of it's ruts.

Dear Ms Yesmin:

Thanks for nice and creative posting to explore creative mind that can change the world positively.

Raju

Positive Bangladesh / Re: World Suicide Prevention Day
« on: September 14, 2010, 09:03:42 AM »
Thanks Mr. Rezwan & Ashiq,

We can promise that never think about suicide & also do not any thing that will force a person to commit suicide. In our country one common reason for suicide is eve-teasing. Girls are committed for suicide, when they can’t tolerate. We should aware about it.

Dear friends, would you share about more reasons of suicide in our country or abroad………?

Limon
Batch 20th BBA

Dear Limon:

Mental health issue is seriously stigmatized in 3rd world countries including Bangladesh.  That’s why we can see consequences only at final stages in the form of suicide, madness, craziness etc.  Please note that most of developed countries have been created culture to consult with doctor, psychologist or counselors at initial stages of those.

Different mindset can direct differently that causes, drug addiction, suicide, destruction and so on. It’s very simple to feel that different situation creates mindset and actions among human beings. Evan we can recognize suicidal attitudes among ourselves sometime if can engage conscious and subconscious psychographic profiles simultaneously.

Now a day, mind mapping is very popular globally to identify psychological strength and weakness for exploring maximum outcome of individual and groups. CDC also can support to do so with interested personnel only.

Eve-teasing can be stopped permanently also through strong psychological intervention including emotional self protection skills among our girls and cognitive behavioral therapy among young people.

Please note that over spending, missing classes, unfair means in exam, misbehave etc. also kind of suicidal steps in life that cost a lot.

Let’s talk more about mental health issues positively as our mind is bigger than body always!

Raju

Real Estate / Re: Top 10 Most Dangerous Airports To Land
« on: September 13, 2010, 05:12:24 PM »
Dear Debashish,

Nice posting and mixed feelings for me as I am directly experienced with 2 dangerous and 5 best airports you mentioned. Honestly speaking visiting Sao Paulo can be difficult for me next time may be but no way to avoid Bangkok airport for many of us.

South Korean airport is really great including free shower and sleeping place for transit passengers, Hong Kong is so friendly, Singapore is homely, Zurich- Switzerland is heavenly and Malaysian's one more likely ours for everyone as you will get multicultural people and languages there.

Hope DIU students will be more experienced than me in near future.

The world is really beautiful if you can explore it nicely!

Regards,

Raju

Dera Raju sir
Welcome to us. You are very much right & I think mita is very happy to find a friendly environment where she can express her potentiality. Sir, please note that there are lots of mita in our university who is looking here and there to express themselves. I hope here you can play a useful role to express them Your every sentence is strongly motivational.

Bidita, you have help us to understand the fact very clearly.

Dear Shahin,

May be you can remember a posting from me earlier titled “Forum is not for posting only but for interactions…….” .

May be things are happening now nicely.  Forum is helping us for coming together with idea, implementation and evaluation in a participatory way.

I do believe lot of people in this world does not have any idea or imagination or evaluation capability but they are very much useful in implementation.

Don’t feel shy in sharing ideas! Although you can face criticism about it some time.

Regards,

Raju

Let me join you all here...Mita, Shahin and Ashiq.
You 3 already started to express in right way. Now you need to ensure an effective journey like; Information-motivation-action.  We can theories the reality as follows:
01.   Information part: We all are informed about Mita’s desire and Mita already informed by Shahin to cherish that.
02.   Motivation part: Depends on Mita, CDC and all people around her.
03.   Action or implementation part: Depends on motivational strength very much.
Welcome for more inputs here.

Regards,
Raju
