What is professionalism?
Somebody may say, "I have got a very good voice, nobody can speak like me with Amitav Bachan's voice." The others may say, "I have a lot of experiences dealing with people, so i am a professional".

No, the above examples and qualities of a person referred here are Not the right examples of professionalism.

A professional always keeps objectives of actions in mind and acts as such. The objectives of actions must coincide with the courses of actions.

A professional knows exactly what he is doing, and why he is doing and how he is doing.

A professional doesn't do a work on experimental basis all the time.

A professional performs responsibilities on his own accord; he doesn't need to be notified or reminded of his duties every time.

An amateur thinks human beings are kind of lazy, so they need pushing but a professional does work with self-motivation because he has good sense of responsibility.

How we look, talk, write, act and work determines whether we are a professional or not..

According to Wikipedia,
A professional is a person who is paid to undertake a specialized set of tasks and accomplish them for a fee.

A professional carefully discovers what is needed and wanted.

A professional looks, speaks and dresses like a professional.

A professional is focused and clear-headed.

A professional does not let mistakes slide by.

A professional jumps into difficult assignments.

A professional completes projects as soon as possible.

A professional handles money and accounts very carefully.

A professional persists until the objective is achieved.

A professional produces more than expected.

A professional produces a high-quality product or service.

The term professionalism is widely used in the formal or institutional environment but in our real life it is also
vital. A teacher teaching Business Taxation without having updated knowledge is meant he is not professional.
A teacher having updated knowledge but irresponsible towards his students is not professional. So, a professional
person should hold relevant updated knowledge, responsibility, discipline and result oriented efforts.
