I have been looking for some scholarship programs in Sweden and got an entry requirement that I must have been awarded a Bachelor's degree (equivalent to a Swedish Kandidatexamen) from an internationally recognized university. The university must be listed in the latest edition of the International Handbook of Universities (International Association of Universities)

So I took a look over there and found that my university hasn’t yet been registered as a member.

So if there’s anyone who can help me with this will be highly appreciated.

Hello,

Thanks for the post. I also think that DIU should be member of International Association of Universities. From 2011, Sweden is going to implement tuition fee for the foreign students. In one sense, it has limited our scopes for higher studies. In other sense, it also has opened doors for the brilliant students as they will provide more scholarships for the overseas students. I informed our registrar sir all information required to be a member of IAU. Hope that he will take the initiatives as soon as possible. Another thing, I want to mention that DIU can take initiatives for making collaboration with the universities of Sweden (e.g. BTH). As best I know, some programs run by BTH and National University of Ruanda. Here, I posted some links to take a look.
