Costly lifestyle diseases 'uphill problem'

Costly lifestyle diseases are becoming an 'uphill problem' for Bangladesh, a new set of statistics suggests.

One in nine people aged 35 and above was found diabetic in the preliminary results of the Bangladesh Demographic and Health Survey (BDHS) 2011.

One in three women and one in five men of the same age group was found to have high blood pressure.
