Good job done. Thanks for writing on 'Women Trafficking in Bangladesh'. When I started my law profession as trainee lawyer in Chancery Chamber under Advocate Sigma Huda in 1994-95, I studied on some cases on Women Trafficking in Bangladesh. Later came to know that
Bangladesh National Women Lawyers Association (BNWLA) specially deals with this. Even today morning I've read on Women Trafficking. The news is as follows:

They are: Asma Akhter, 11, Iti Pramanik, 18, Josna Akhter, 21, Lovli Khatun, 15, Runa Khatun, 20, Nazma Khatun, 21, Nazmin, 15, Niha, 18, Rabeya Begum, 26, Roni Khatun, 21, Rawshan Akfter, 21, Rupa, 21, Shamsun Nahar, 21, Sumi, 23, Rehana Pervin, 16, Sumi Biswas, 20, Asma Mola, 18, and Hosne Ara, 21. Indian Border Security Force (BSF) handed over them to Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) through Benapole check post, Fazlul Huq, in-charge of the post told BSS.
"The girls were trafficked to India three to four years ago through different border areas of Jessore on the pretext of giving them good jobs," he said. Indian police arrested them from Mumbai on charges illegal staying and sent them to jail, he said adding that an Indian humanitarian organization Sanglap took them to their shelter home after they had served two years in jail.
The authority of Sanglap later contacted with Bangladesh Women Lawyers' Association (BWLA) to take initiative to bring the girls back to their home, he said. Indian government finally gave nod to the proposal after a long negotiation between home ministries of the country, he said. "We will keep the girls in our own shelter home. They will be returned to their family after completion of official fomalities," Jessore branch official of BWLA said.
