neither EVE TEASING nor ADAM TEASING
Farhana Helal Mehtab:
"Feel proud to be a woman. Women should have self respect. They must know how precious they are. I always raise my voice against eve teasing. Still I convey this message to my female students that they must groom their personality in such a way so that people think twice before saying anything against them. In any way they should not provoke anyone to pass a comment."
Those were the words which I delivered yesterday in my speech in DIU Uttara campus Orientation Program Spring 2013. I added, "In our DIU campus, there must not be any EVE Teasing or ADAM Teasing."
I convey my special thanks to our honorable VC sir, Dean sirs of Science faculty & Business School, Proctor sir for appreciating my thoughts & ideas after the speech session. The big applause from students after my speech proved that our students think positively. My good wishes for all the new & old students of Daffodil International University.

Dear ma`am,
"Eve teasing is an important issue that needs urgent attention. A recent study by the Bangladesh National Women Lawyers Association showed that nearly 90 percent of girls aged between 10 and 18 have experienced eve teasing. About 13,000 women became victims of harassment and violence across the country during January-July, 2008. In 2010, eve-teasing resulted in 20 instances of suicide."
So we must be so much attention to avoid eve teasing.Various reasons are suggested for the prevalence of sexual harassment in Bangladesh. Some feel that it is the direct consequence of a puritanical and sexually repressive society, especially one in which women traditionally have no voice and nothing resembling equal rights.

Wasim:
Eve teasing is a euphemism used in Bangladesh as well as all over the world for public sexual harassment, street harassment or molestation of women by men. Dear ma'am, we should raise our voice stop EVE TEASING.
Farhana Helal Mehtab:
Dear Shimu,
Do you remember the study work of last year that we did in our law project "Violence Against Women in Bangladesh"? The condition of women in Bangladesh is really sad. Thanks for BANWLA's data for readers. Protecting women is the responsibility of the country, its true ..... but at the same time women should have some responsibilities for themselves. I believe one day social awareness will help us to move on......
Thanks Wasim & Israt.
ma'am
